I'm curious to see how much group work everyone has in NS. The program I'm in places us in groups of about 8 and many of our major assignments in Term 3 were group based. Adding up to 40% of the overall mark. Now in Term 4 (of 8) it looks like this will continue through the semester. I had a great group last term but I always worry about new groups. What have been your experiences? How much group work do you participate in? How much of your grade does it influences

I just finished my second semester of LPN-RN school and we had a group project to do. We had to pick a topic from the something we were studying in class and this group was chosen by who you had clincals with. This is the first time I have had to do this, we had to go out and present our topic( stroke prevention) to the appropriate community and to our instructors later in the semester. It was a percentage of our grade but it only counted as extra help. So you had to have your 75 percent test average first before the points would count.

Has anyone else just started nursing school and feels like their brains have exploded? So much work and so much stress. Tips? Tricks? Suggestions? :)
Since its my second time around(LPN-RN) its still stressful and hard. I still study my butt off, I cut out all the fluff and stick with the meat and potatoes. My school loves power points, so I study those only. I haven't opened my stack of 2k books in a while.

I don't really like group work. Hopefully that will change in nursing school, since most people hope to do well, I hope there will be much fewer slackers. I finished my first semester of LPN pogram and we didn't have any actual group projects, but a few partnered in class assignments.
