Grossmont Nursing Fall 2019 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to the nursing program at Grossmont College for the Fall 2019 semester. This will be my third time, yes I said it, third time applying! I am a veteran at this now, so feel free to ask me any questions8FF27886-261B-48B2-847C-E86980D9F0C0. The first time I applied with a 76, the second time I applied with an 81, and this time I will hopefully be applying with 83-88 points depending on if they take my retake for Microbiology. I have done everything and anything to increase my points, and I am hoping that this time is my time (third time's a charm)! How many points do you guys think you have? I look forward to hearing from all of you, and good luck to us all!

This will be my second time applying! The first time around I believe I had around 73 points. I am currently retaking micro and if all goes as planed that will bring me up 5 points. I am also taking statistics and hoping it can replace my C grade in alegbra. I am also planning to retake the teas. Im estimating I will now be at around 81-85 points depending on my teas exam score. Fingers crossed we get in this time. Are you applying anywhere else? I am also applying to southwestern, I heard they are easier to get into.

Hi Gabby!

Those are great points. I hope we get in as well! I'm applying everywhere this time around. I'll be applying to Grossmont, Southwestern, Palomar, Miracosta, Mt.San Jacinto (so far), and I've already applied to City. I'm hoping I get into Grossmont because it's literally 5 minutes away from my house. If not, then City or Southwestern because they are the next closest. I'm sure all schools are great, and I'm happy to get into an any.

Hi Everyone! The Fall 2019 application period is opening up in just a few days! How exciting! I'm estimating myself to be around 84-85 points. Hopefully that's competitive enough! Do any of you know what month we would typically start to hear back about acceptances/denials? I'm already getting nervous/impatient haha

I know! So exciting! The first round of emails will most likely go out the first week of April. It's usually 1 month after the deadline. You have great points! It's so competitive; it makes me nervous. My friend got in last fall and told me that they had the most applicants to date. I wonder how many will apply this time.

This is my second go around as well with Grossmont. I have also already been accepted into West Coast U cohort for June!!! The reason for waiting for Grossmont is, it is as very close to where I live too, which is the complete opposite in reference to West Coast U. I have retaken my TEAS and scored an 85 which was way better than the 68 for my first attempt. I believe I will be going in with 74-75 hopefully. Good luck to all!!

Hello everyone! I'm super glad I found this thread! I'm also applying to Grossmont for Fall 2019 and anticipate having around 88 points.

It seems that all of us are applying/have applied to numerous programs, so I wish you all the best of luck! The waiting begins...

Hi guys! I'm applying to Grossmont next week with 91 points. I applied to Southwestern and I already got into City, but Grossmont is my first choice. Has anyone else here gotten accepted into city? Good luck to all!

I am applying with 81-86 points! Depending on the extra points they give me. 88 on the teas, language proficiency, 4.0 GE gpa, and all 15 points for degree, experience, and CNA certificate. I have a 3.0 for my prerequisite gpa, which is scary! Hopefully those points and my statements make me an applicant they want! Good luck to everyone!

- I was also accepted into City College! Did you go to the orientation? Are you taking the pre nursing course now or do you start in April? I was going to apply to 5 different schools, but City was my second choice, so I just applied to Grossmont (my 1st choice). Everyones points are so high!

Yeah I’m taking the 092 course right now! What about you? I’m bummed we have to pay the 270$ for that ATI trial by March 1st, considering we don’t find out if we got into Grossmont till April or May
