Grossmont Nursing Fall 2019 Cohort

Hello everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to the nursing program at Grossmont College for the Fall 2019 semester. This will be my third time, yes I said it, third time applying! I am a veteran at this now, so feel free to ask me any questions8FF27886-261B-48B2-847C-E86980D9F0C0. The first time I applied with a 76, the second time I applied with an 81, and this time I will hopefully be applying with 83-88 points depending on if they take my retake for Microbiology. I have done everything and anything to increase my points, and I am hoping that this time is my time (third time's a charm)! How many points do you guys think you have? I look forward to hearing from all of you, and good luck to us all!

Last time I should have been at 81. It was such a bummer because my transcripts for comm and sociology weren’t ready in time for the application deadline. Between my first and second time applying I got my EMT cert so that added 5 points as well. The competition is just insane!

The competition is SO insane this application period! We have people coming from Brightwood college, and of course the rest of us applying! Someone in the current cohort told me that the last application period had unusually high points! I think this time around, we will beat that!

It's definitely insane. I've never seen so many people have such high points. I Just keep crossing my fingers they'll accept my retake for micro because if not, I'll have 83, and that isn't looking too hot compared to everyone elses mid 80s to early 90s.

I'm hoping they take it too!!! I have talked to people who said that Grossmont will take a class that you retook if its just one of your science prereqs, or if you took it at a different school.....I am hoping that is true!! Keep your fingers crossed!!

The wait is almost over! If we don't hear anything tomorrow, then we should find out sometime this week! The first email will be an alert that emails will be sent out soon and then shortly after the acceptance emails. That's how it usually goes. Goodluck! Goodluck!

Yes I was just thinking the same thing! Good luck to everyone!!! Cross your fingers the scores this cohort aren’t crazy high and we all get in!!!!!
