Hello everyone!
I just wanted to start a topic for this upcoming Grossmont ADN cohort (Fall 2017)! What are everyone's stats? (GPA, Teas, etc). I'm currently focusing on applying to Southwestern since it's due date is at the end of the month!
Good luck to everyone applying!!
Yes that sounds like a plan. I too applied at National. But I do not get any financial aid so it will be extremely expensive for me. I like the SDSU track with partnership with Grossmont. Doing cross enrollment at SDSU taking 2 BSN classes and 1 Upper Division GE. The counselor said I could get my BSN in 2020 through SDSU, which is the ultimate goal.
BTW, I seriously give praise to you and those students with kids and full time job. I thought this would be extremely hard for me. As a signle 21 year old with no major responsibilities yet, I thought it was going to be a challenge. But thinking that there are people who will be doing the program, working, and have responsibilities at home... kind of put my worries into perspective haha. Good luck to all! hopefully we can all form a study group together!!
Thanks :) It's tough for sure, but it's going to be worth all the sleepless nights haha. Yeah, same with National. Cost was a huge factor. I really don't want to start my career with that much student loan debt... Ridiculous! Plus, going nonstop for 22 months sounds exhausting... Not like Grossmont won't be, but a little break here and there will be great.
That's actually what I'm still thinking of because SWC has been my main college since I graduated from HS and I did all my prereqs there... however, I really dislike the otay campus (which is where the nursing program is at) and it is more far from home where I live right now. Grossmont is like 25min from home and SWC Otay campus is like 20 so pretty much the same... However Im not sure if I'll still live here for the next 2 years, and I might move to live with family which then SWC will be the closest... but still, grossmont is supposed to be better school so I'm really confused...
Hello, I got into SWC look forwarding to meeting you!

Hey, You need to choose the one your heart lead you too from the beginning you have an invite to any school you choose. I would love to see you and meet you at SWC but I have also seen your invited to Mira costa and that my friend is a very hard school to get into they accept a mere 20 some students. There is going to be a lot of one on one training in clinical it might be nicer. you have too look at the pro's and cons' like the hours of class, the drive, where are the clinical's, do you like the program after orientation etc.
Just remember to choose what you want to do and not based off of friends you know you have to choose what's best for you in the end. And I remember you being concerned with the drive. However you choose what's best for you =) either way we will all stick together!
