Hello everyone!

I just wanted to start a topic for this upcoming Grossmont ADN cohort (Fall 2017)! What are everyone's stats? (GPA, Teas, etc). I'm currently focusing on applying to Southwestern since it's due date is at the end of the month!

Good luck to everyone applying!!

Any lvn-adn applicants here? :)

Hi! I just applied to Grossmont and it seems that I have anywhere from 82-87 points depending on whether they accept my CNA certification points since I do not have my certificate in hands yet but I am a CNA I just took my test recently.

I have 3.7 science gpa and 4.0 fixed set gpa. I scored 82% on my TEAS, I have an associates, work experience, and language points. I'm also hoping I can get some 2 or 3 life experience points.

i estimated to have at least 83 points! goodluck to everyone!!

Hi, all! I was feeling pretty optimistic until I started seeing how many points you all have haha! I got an 88% on teas 6, 3.3 on sciences, around 3.8 gpa on the fixed set. Have the language points (3), Associates degree and I'm a medical assistant. I have the proof of working during prereqs, but haven't worked in the medical field in the last 3 years. Losing that 5 points hurts! Lol. Hoping to be awarded all 5 life points, but even with all of that, im only calculating 79 points. Is it the end of April yet? The wait is killing me haha

hi misti619 the lady at grossmont said we should shoot for at least mid 70s. if you are in the upper 70s im sure you have a great shot at getting accepted.

I hope! Grossmont is my first choice and I'll be soooo sad if I don't get in!

good luck to us all!!

I'm glad I found this place!! Won't be the only one obsessing over checking emails! lol ... This is my third time applying to Grossmont  I really hope I get in this time. Every person here has very impressive scores, mine are like in the middle not bad, but not great haha. But I don't lose hope. I have 4.0 fix gap, 3.5 science gpa, might get 4 or 5 extra points. Compared to the other two times, now I get 5 points for CNA certification and I raised my TEAS score up to 84.7%. Do any of you know if they round up the percentages??? maybe I could possibly get 28 points?!?! ;)

Good Luck to everyone!

So you got into SWC if you get into the Grossmont School which people are saying is better for NCLEX will you accept grossmont or SWC? and congrats i'm sure you will get accepted to grossmont as well!

That's actually what I'm still thinking of because SWC has been my main college since I graduated from HS and I did all my prereqs there... however, I really dislike the otay campus (which is where the nursing program is at) and it is more far from home where I live right now. Grossmont is like 25min from home and SWC Otay campus is like 20 so pretty much the same... However Im not sure if I'll still live here for the next 2 years, and I might move to live with family which then SWC will be the closest... but still, grossmont is supposed to be better school so I'm really confused...

Both schools are definitely good schools. But I hear more positive things about SWC than Grossmont. My friend who went to Grossmont and dropped because she did not like the faculty and stated that they do not really value the students. Then she got into SWC and graduated there and said that she loved it. That is why I am also confused. If i get into Grossmont and now knowing I have been accepted to SWC I think I will choose SWC. But hopefully I get into Palomar first which is really the goal. So right now I am set for SWC. I also have 2 friends who got into SWC and applied to grossmont and said they are probably going to decline Grossmont if they are accepted and continue on with SWC. So that is also a plus for me since I already know people I would not have a hard time finding students to have a study groups with since I know they are hard working and motivated. SWC I'm not saying grossmont is a bad school, I just heard a lot more positive things about SWC compared to grossmont. Hopefully you find the school more suiting to you!!

Invitations have gone out for Grossmont. Has anybody heard anything? I'm freaking outí ½í¸©
