Hi , wow I am surprised someone rejected the offer! , also, do you mind me asking for which unit is this offer ? and how many interviewers did you have?

Got confirmation of an interview Friday 2/16. Submitted my application on the last day, internal, have not graduated yet.

While it may be unfair for others, I accepted SWC spot because I had to save my spot for a Nursing school, something Ive been working for the past 3 years, and SWC was my first choice and the first program to notify me I was accepted. Grossmont didnt notify me until a couple weeks ago. I still need to go to orientation and ask questions and see which school is going to be a better fit for me. FYI, I am not taking away anyones spot because they accept students all they way before classes start, they even have alternates.

Hi Danielle! I will go to their orientation, but I also got accepted to Grossmont and I accepted their invitation too, so I guess I will make my final decision after attending SWCs orientation.

That's actually what I'm still thinking of because SWC has been my main college since I graduated from HS and I did all my prereqs there... however, I really dislike the otay campus (which is where the nursing program is at) and it is more far from home where I live right now. Grossmont is like 25min from home and SWC Otay campus is like 20 so pretty much the same... However Im not sure if I'll still live here for the next 2 years, and I might move to live with family which then SWC will be the closest... but still, grossmont is supposed to be better school so I'm really confused...

Hi guys!!! I got my acceptance email yesterday March 8 at 12:17pm. I had about 81-83 points! Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted!!! I do hope everyone who is waiting gets accepted too! LOL how do we actually reply to them accepting our spot???

Hi! I just applied to Grossmont and it seems that I have anywhere from 82-87 points depending on whether they accept my CNA certification points since I do not have my certificate in hands yet but I am a CNA I just took my test recently. I have 3.7 science gpa and 4.0 fixed set gpa. I scored 82% on my TEAS, I have an associates, work experience, and language points. I'm also hoping I can get some 2 or 3 life experience points.

Hi! I also applied to SWC. My points are anywhere between 80-84 !!! In case we do get accepted and receive our letter of acceptance, do you guys know how long do they give us to accept our spot? Did you guys apply to any other colleges??? Im also applying to Grossmont. Do you guys know when the acceptance letters for Grossmont are sent??

hey!!! Im sorry for the late reply I just saw this! I dont even know my points for Miracosta and Palomar because they are so far for me that I didnt even bother to try to apply hahaha!!! I live in the Southbay (Chula Vista) I'm only applying to SWC and Grossmont and it looks like Im gonna have around 84-87 points for Grossmont depending if they give me those points for Financial aid need, difficult circumstances and working while completing pre-reqs... However, I havent turned in my application yet because I am waiting for my CNA certificate/license to appear in the system and/or in the mail!!! This is so ironic, and stupid and funny and sad at the same time because the only reason why I did the CNA certification so I could apply to SWC and get those 25 points at SWC and also those 5 points at Grossmont (I never planned on working as a CNA, ever!), I finished my class around mid-December and took the test (which I passed) then turns out about a month and a half later we found out that someone/somewhere "the State" (that's what my school told me) they lost some paperwork so that's why about 25 students from our CNA class didnt get our certification!!! SO ANNOYING. But I even work as a CNA, I got hired the next week of passing my certification tests! and all they took were my results showing that I passed! However, I am now even at risk of losing my job (which I don't particularly love, lol) but also not being able to get those points!!! However, I already faxed the state or whoever makes those papers (Thank God we had copies) and now Im just waiting for them to mail my thing/license or at least to have my number or certification posted at the registry!!!

Hi Everyone ! Just turned in my application Monday January 30!! Omg they make it so difficult, I was so confident i had everything right and ready but surprise! I didn't haha it was just a stupid slight difference in the date I had my TB quantifieron test done and the date my physician signed in the immunization form for SWC!!! So they took it and it was incomplete but I ran to my doctors and got it right I believe so I turned it in and I hope now Im complete!!! (at least they took it and said it was fine) I believe I have anywhere between 80-86 points depending on whether they accept all those points or not. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU !!! I am also applying to Grossmont!!! I cant wait to get accepted now lol omg 2 months of waiting is a lot haha.
