MiraCosta Palomar Fall 2017 ADN
I calculated 79 points and haven't heard, either! I was accepted to Grossmont, but was waiting to hear from Palomar. I have my associates degree and medical asst points, 3.33 gpa in science (2 b's and an a) all A's and 1 B in fixed set gpa, should have all 5 bonus points and I'm also military spouse. The only thing I didn't have was the 5 extra points for recent work/ volunteer experience.

Grossmont Nursing Spring 2017 Cohort
Hi all! I'm thrilled that I was accepted for fall 2017! I was wondering if anyone has the schedule of classes for spring cohort so I can get an idea of the class order and schedule? Just trying to get an idea of how to prepare. Is there anything you wish you'd known before starting? Thanks so much!

Grossmont Fall 2017 Cohort
Hi, all! I was feeling pretty optimistic until I started reading these forums and seeing how many points people have haha! I got an 88% on teas 6, 3.3 (B,B,A) on sciences, around 3.8 gpa (all A's except a B in speech years ago) on the fixed set. Have the language points (3), Associates degree and I'm a medical assistant. I have the proof of working during prereqs, but haven't worked in the medical field in the last 3 years. Losing that 5 points hurts! Lol. Hoping to be awarded all 5 life points, but even with all of that, im only calculating 79 points. Is it the end of April yet? The wait is killing me haha

Anyone hoping to start Kaplan San Diegos ADN (RN) Program in January 09?
Hi CostalGuy. I actually didnt get in on the Jan start. They wanted me to have more recent medical experience, so I am working in a Dr's office until I can reapply. The last time I worked as a medical asst was 5 years ago. I also only got a 79 on my TEAS the first time and didnt have time to retake it ( I only had a few days of studying in and have never taken Physics or Chemistry). I am studying to retake that as well and Im hoping for a May start. The deadline to apply for that start date is March 14th, I think. I know that if I actually study for the TEAS, I can get my score up and ensure a spot. They let you apply if you get 70% or above on the test, but if you dont get at least 80%, RETAKE it. If you need info on that, you can email me directly at MistiPace at Gmail. Keep me posted on whether or not you apply! Also, what prereqs have you done? Because I was told that it was 20 months regardless of whether your prereqs were totally done or you had never taken a class. I was told if you HAD completed some, that it would just lighten your workload and, of course, would be less expensive. M

Kaplan college in San Diego RN program
I was told that they start you in clinicals the first semester, but my initial appointment was with someone else (my lady was sick) so maybe she didnt know the program had changed. I think it makes WAY more sense to let us get our feet wet for a semester first.... then throw us in! lol Mareeh, How do you like it? Do you feel that you are getting a quality education?
