I think it would depend on where you are up to in the process. As far as I am aware as long as you havent submitted DS-230 or paid your visa bill, you should be OK. I stand to be corrected if Im wrong lol :wink2:

If they are not on the DS-230 when that is submitted, it is going to take some time...........like two years or so. They must be on the original petition of the DS-230 for them to be included.
what is this ds-230 you talk of and how far into the process do they file this?

It is were all biographic information is completed for NVC once NVC fee is paid. If you add spouse on after this and your interview you are looking at years before he will get a green card and be able to move to the US

Hi,
May I just ask something? Would my spouse be able to work if he goes on my green card? Or would he need to apply for something else after being admitted into US on my green card?
Thanks

If his filing has been included with yours (ie DS forms completed same time as yours) then he will also get a green card same time as yours. Usually you both get interviewed in London but yours is the primary visa
thanks for that info.
But, does that mean he'll have to get a job before he goes [as I will have to]?
Thanks again

Thanks Anna,
you're soo wise!! lol
Have sent all papers off AGES ago [ok 3weeks!], not heard a peep yet but as I've sent them to CA BON, I know it'll be months off yet! Am swotting for the dreaded NCLEX - will keep you informed.
Am I correct in thinking that this is the 2nd time for you??

Yes, hubby changed his mind at the beginning of the year as we had lots of delays, in Aug he changed his mind and after a lot of talking and putting my foot down and saying if we are going we are not changing again so restarted the process, luckily hospital willing to continue with application. Approval came very quickly (11 days) and already done NCLEX so just had to start immigration again, this time caught up with retrogression but hoping it will be sorted in soon
