Hi all,

I am new to this site and new to nursing - hopefully! I am applying to the LPN program at GL Tech evening division. Is anyone else here going or has gone to that program? I am taking the NET in June (the last test date) and I just ordered study materials. I have to pass it because it is the last time they offer it!!! I am 40yrs old and completely changing my career so I am hoping I am not the oldest in the program if I get in. So send out a hello if you are going to the program at Lowell Tech.

Yep! That was me! I was all the way in the back with straight brown hair :) and I'm in days yes. Any info or tips you may have would be great! Congrats for doing so well you earned it!

Ok, I just have to say that I read through this ENTIRE thread and it was so addicting! lol. Congrats to all the future LPN's, and to those that just graduated!

I was going to apply to Greater Lowell Tech last year, but decided to go to St Joseph School of Nursing instead- it's only 10 minutes away from me, and they have a LPN-RN transition program. I start on August 31st...can't believe it, it's getting so close. :)

And it's starting to get into gear! How are you ladies holding up? I love it so far!! I can't wait till we get to the complicated stuff, but maybe I'll feel differently when I get there. haha! I plotted the test dates we have so far down on a map. Wooo! They're are some tough days ahead!! :)

Im loving it too!! First I'm sorry I havent really gotten a chance to sit down and talk with you. It must happen evenutally! I got a 98 on the A+P test! Im floating right now! Just gotta get through the Fundamentals test. Good luck First! And yes Sawyer how have you been holding up? How are nights? Inquiring minds want to know :):confused:

Awesome!! Thank you, you too! I hope funds will be as easy as that A+P test but I worry because it's not as cut and dry like the A+P.. but we'll definitely kick butt anyway!! :) I sit in the front, toward the right side of the room, if you were in the class today, I was the girl the teacher practiced transferring! hehe

Hey guys...evenings is good - I think we are behind you guys - we just had our first Fund Lab last nite. We had 2 exams tonite - yikes! We still havent had all the classes yet but we are adding micro tomorrow. So far so good - its amazing how quickly the day goes when i am tyring to study - before i know it its time to leave for class. I am dreading when it gets to the point of tests every day. We dont start our clinical til the 11th and for that weekend its at GLTS and then we dont go to the hosp til the 25th - seems so far away. When are you guys starting? Looking forward to 4 days off for the holiday weekend but i will def be studying! Keep me posted!

Im on the surgical unit!! I am slightly nervous to start patient care but I dont wanna freak myself out you know!! :uhoh3:
