thanks! this will be very useful when I take anatomy this fall

Yes thank you very much! I will be starting a&p in the fall too. I am very scared. I don't know what to expect. I hope we can help each other out NYDreamer.

I highly recommend this site:

http://www.getbodysmart.com/

I like how it briefly discusses the root of the words, when applicable, it helped me remember things better when I could put them in context. The site is not complete, but it was the only site I needed. The graphics look very professional and sharp, while the other sites I checked last year seemed too amateurish (not a big deal for some, but for me it is).

Also, do not hesitate to bring your digital camera and take pictures of what you are looking at in the microscope and of the models. Just make sure to ask your professor for permission first.

For ANP I, a classmate of mine decided to bring post-it notes as labels, and temporarily posted them on the different muscles. I took the photos and posted it online for everyone in class, and it helped. I have trouble translating 2d drawings from the textbook to the models so it did miracles for me.

Of course! and before we know it...we will be the ones in the graduate forum psoting about how nervous we are about taking the license exams...ahhh!

I'm taking statistics and a biology class this summer that is a prereq for the anatomy class...I did it this way so that I can start the nursing ciriculum by fall of 08, otherwise I would have had to wait till fall of 09....right know i'm looking for any useful links that I can save and use as review and stud materials for the classes I will take in the future.

Thanks for the sites. I, too, am taking A&P this fall.

These are all awesome recs! I am taking A&P1 in the fall and Chem and Life Span Development Psych. I hope I can rock these like I am rocking Bio right now. Good Luck everyone!

Here is my favorite site for the models we used in lab. It really helped with the muscles and will help for A&P II also.

I am finishing up A&P I this summer, we have 2 weeks left. So far it has been very intense but not too bad. Can't wait to get a short break in August!!! Good luck everyone.
