Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

Oh it's so close!! I hope the time flies by! What will you do with all your spare time?

sleep!!!

I hear you! OMG, that's all I did the first few weeks. I slept in and went to bed at a decent time.

You know what was really weird? Not having homework. I had lived my schedule for so long, that when I wasn't doing school work, I felt lost. It's obviously much better now that it's been 3 months, but at times I have to tell myself I don't *have* to hurry home and I can be out of computer range!

I hear ya! I have been in school for the last 6 years. Homework and studying all the time has worn me out. I'm ready for a very long break from school!

Only 4 DQ's, 6 responses to DQ's, and submission of 2 CLC's left until I finish my insane chore of taking two classes at once!!! I was so excited that as of next week I will only have to worry about one class at a time - UNTIL I read the syllabus for Assessment and realized that the DQ's are super long and only worth 5 points! Also, it has 2 projects due each week during the last 2 weeks! I need to overlap Trends during the last week of Assessment to get the instructor that I want. That week is going to be a nightmare. Can anyone tell me what type of project is due the first week of Trends so I can really create my plan of attack?

Greetings everyone,

I am so ready for a break from class. Only have 3 more days of STATS (along with work) then 2 weeks off from school. I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a good instructor for Community and Public Health? :bookworm: It's gonna be my repeater class and you all have been so wonderful with your advice and recommendations to say the least. I appreciate it all my peeps. PM me.

Hey NurseConnie, you might need to change your settings. I just tried to PM you and got this error message:

"NurseConnie33 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."

Done PrismRN. I only had 1 message in there lol

I SURVIVED the double dip  !!!! I am now half-way through the program. Now I get 2 days to clean my house, then start Leadership on Monday. I peeked in the classroom and my instructor seems nice. She has around a dozen handicapped cats that she rescued, so she can't be that bad. I am relieved to not have a CLC in this class. The break will be nice.

Prism - how did your final Ethics CLC turn out?

Did? Did you say how "did" your final CLC turn out? As in, past tense? You are presuming we have STARTED????? Oh please don't get my bleeding ulcer riled up again, I'm sitting here doing my final DQ for this class (due in 90 minutes, haven't even looked at it), avoiding the trauma and drama of the the CLC that never was :(
