Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews

Howdy all, I bit the bullet and after much research, I decided on Grand Canyon! Wow, I did not expect BSN schools to be like used car salesmen--hounding me by emails and phone calls. Rather impressed on how Grand Canyon sort of left me alone, but at the same time kept in touch.

Commence my first class Sept 30th, excited, yet very nervous, as I'm not a big fan of school, LOL! I did extremely well on my Associate degree, graduated back in 2009 from Northern Virginia Community College. We shall see.

Would love to hear from past and present Grand Canyon RN to BSN students.

Wow, was it some non-nursing idiot that thought anyone could just randomly sit for the NCLEX?

It is a regional hospital with national hospital ties, not sure if this is something new on the horizon or what, I can tell you when they rolled it out there was much on the elevator disgruntled chatter.

This is why I always had Friday as my submit date. I gambled on having an early return so I knew what I needed to fix for the next paper. It didn't always work and many times, as you all know, there could easily be a couple weeks of assignments on the line.

I try for Friday's as well. Gives me a day of rest, and then I can hit the ground running on Sunday!

That third horse from the front is me! And it looks

like we're going to the bottom of the canyon. When we get to the bottom we will be burnt and will rise like the Phoenix flying away with out degrees :-D

LOL!!!

Hey, if the Antelope is the mascot, shouldn't be riding those? Probably too small for my oversized BSN butt!!

Oh my goodness. You ladies are all cracking me up. Which is good. I need a homework break. i feel like I haven't been on here in ages to talk to you guys. Oofda. My crazy self has decided that I need things turned in No later than Thursday nights in this class. Typically even earlier than that. I just have 1 small 250-500 word paper left for this week to do and then I am done for the week and it is time to start putting all these darn papers together for the big finale!!!!

Oh, also a few of my friends and co-workers did RN-BSN classes at the campus and they said they didn't learn a thing. Really it depends on what you put into it. The school helps, but if you don't put any effort into your education you won't get anything out of it. We write tons of papers and do a ton of group work, and fixing other peoples work in the group work. We may not realize everything we are learning throughout the program, but I can assure you we are definitely learning.

Hey JRich!!

Long time no hear! How is life treating you? You are wrapping up week 4!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!! Have fun putting that monstrosity together. It was more difficult than I thought, just because of the duplication in all the papers.
