Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Had my ingrown toe nail dealt with yesterday. Dr was great. Toe isn't hurting as much as I expected, especially how he dug around. Put in a leave of absence until June 30th..It may be longer, say Mid August! But if I go longer than June 30th--lose the 10% discount. Just with all my moving around, makes school a bit more difficult! 19 days left of Nicaragua, then back to the USA, and then Quito sometime in July or August.
I think we should take a vote. Let's vote on tokmom starting right up into her BSN-MSN at GCU! That way she won't forget us, she can give us insider-info on what that program is like, and she can still suffer the misery of DQs and papers and e v e n m o r e research with the rest of us C'MON YES!
I'm still trying to figure out the who whole wife/mom/first RN job/FT student thing. It's not working for me so well :/
One time I needed to communicate with a CLC member and she called me from her cell around midnight (which was fine with me, I'm a night owl). She told me she was out in the driveway inside her car because it was the only place she could get any peace! It wasn't long before her husband came out and asked her what the heck she was doing out there in her pajamas!
It is hard, I give credit to all of you who have little ones on top of all the other stuff we manage. When I get stressed out and think I can't take it one more minute, I think of you and all the other parents that seem to get it done. Hats off to all of you, really, it's impressive.
yes the librarians are awesome...I have found it may be better to contact them out of their business hours...as they email you a pile of info, lol But yes, they help you out a great deal, ttl life saver
How do you go about getting their assistance? I tried the chat window once and it went awry...in the middle of getting help the librarian disappeared and I never heard back. No e-mail, phone call, nothing. Do you call, e-mail, use the chat window?

I don't like the live chat because I want to speak to a human. Many ways to get there, but here's how I do it: From inside LoudCloud, under the Resources Tab up top, there's a dropdown for Library. Click that, takes you right to their page and has the contact info & hours over on the right. I dialed the number and somebody picked right up.

Have you guys ever called the GCU library for assistance? I hadn't until today, and let me tell you, they are my new BFFs! JRich, call the library and ask them to help you search for your Kangaroo Care. I just had the best experience - I've never called them before but kept running into goose-eggs when I was searching for a good quantitative article for this week's assignment (and I even took the library webinar class!) This gal just spent 20 minutes with me, I told her what I was hoping for and she searched first, then told me how she got there, and we went through the articles together. She knew more than I did and what words to spy up front quickly that would be disqualifiers for what I was looking for and ruled them out before I had even opened them up (saved me hours right there). JRich, if it tempts you at all, she told me she's being inundated with Capstone students asking for help to "find their 15"
. This is a new resource that I will use again, it was so painless and productive, now I can get on with the business of the article and not the hunt! WOOT!
