Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Hi krystalized, I am in leadership and management - getting ready to start week 4. I have 3 more classes (including the Captone) and I will be done. I am in the extended Capstone as well so will be grateful if you could post how it goes for you. Maybe just a heads up on the syllabus . I didn't mind research so much. What frustrates me is when they assign a bunch of reading that ends up having nothing to do with the DQs or the assignment for that week. All in all it hasn't been too bad. I have patho, trends, and Capstone left. Good luck.
Ok so I am about to start my capstone and am confused by this "Contact your BON" thing going on. Is that only about moving on to get your MSN or are you saying that my state (NM) may not recognize me as a BSN RN because I got it from GCU?
Some states are not recognizing BSN's from certain schools. MY state will no longer accept a RN-BSN from GCU because there is no practicum. Those in the program will need a waiver.
Flames keeps bringing up the link, but I haven't looked. I called MY BON and they did verify this information to be true. If I were you, I would contact your BON to make sure you are ok.
My state has NOT released any information or links. NOTHING. The BON stated it's the student's responsibility to check to see if their program is accepted. Not the school, nor the state BON.
I checked with California BRN and here's what the website says: "This list of resources is being provided as a service for informational purposes only. This in no way represents all of the RN to BSN/MSN programs available. These RN to BSN/MSN programs are neither approved nor endorsed by the Board of Registered Nursing. For specific information, please contact the programs directly."

Supposedly (no one has provided a link) that there is, or is going to be a Federal mandated law regarding RN to BSN programs, and some states may not recognize certain programs. Your best bet is to contact your States BON and see what they have to say. GL on capstone, and enjoy hitting the submit button at the end of week 5.
