Grand Canyon RN-BSN

Published

Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?

Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?

yep, seems to be a new thing..and I think only worth 10 points...I found that out after I search and searched..on behalf of another, lol 10 points, jeez, lol When in doubt, contact the prof or the Librarian.

It really is a ridiculous assignment. Another one with vague instructions and the information needed for the assignment is not in the reading material. And yes, it is only worth 10 points.

I emailed the Librarian about it, and she did send me info.....which I deleted...so if the prof won't help you, chat with the Librarian

I went ahead and messaged both the Prof and a Librarian. Too much work for 10 points!

Western Governors may not require those extra classes?? Some say it is much cheaper as I think you pay so much a semester, 3 classes or 1, it is the same price, but don't quote me on that

Be glad ur not going to the University of Pheoenix, guess they are having some financial issues.....had not heard many good things about that program!!

I know some WGU folk, and they needed biochemistry, and nutrition.

but I think u can finish pretty quickly as you can take quite a few at 1 time.....and the price is cheaper if u do take more classes..........

True that. I don't understand how a person can take a class in 1 day. That boggles my mind.

UoP was one of the first to provide online learning and made a huge profit in doing so. They have quite a bit of competition now as traditional schools have picked up on providing classes online and they are not a majority provider of the service. My guess is the dollar sign became the end goal, not providing quality education.

There used to be a huge thread here on AN and it centered on UofP..lot of mixed reviews.....and I have read many of their programs were super easy..more interested in getting the $$$$ then providing quality education.....no clue how true it is???? But in that article many replied to it that had originally obtained their bachelors at a "traditional" school, but were working on their Masters..and when paired with students that started at UofP..were clueless!! Of course I could say that about some of my fellow CLC group project team mates, lol Not in Trends though, was refreshing to have everyone onboard and completed early!
