Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Forgot to mention that GCU will be at my little rural regional facility this next week to drum up business. I am hoping that the facility and GCU have developed a relationship so I can get a little discount on tuition. I can hope, can't I?
Hey, stop and say hello. I came back with a nifty cup and pen. :)
Hello everyone!
So I survived the 1st week! Yay…
Now I know what you mean about the group projects:banghead:, we couldn't get a hold of one member despite numerous emails and messages in the group forum…he finally showed up on Saturday and completed his part, any advice on how to deal with these types of problems?

Depends when the CLC is due, as some are not due until the 2nd week, and of course depends on the prof. I had waited near the end of the 1st week and moron had still not appeared..emailed the prof, and she said, give it until early next week!!
Emailing is good....but if u have problem children, you need to post on the group forum, thus the prof knows you have been communicating----as yes the profs can see all those posts!
Thats why u need a good CLC contract, that states what is the consequences when people do not do their share of the work! I usually do the CLC agreement....Do a good 1 the first time, and u can keep using it for other classes, with just minor tweaking!!
Really all one can do is keep emailing/posting...and after u have waited long enough, people agree who does what...and moron gets stuck with the left overs!!
And make sure u leave yourself (the group) 4 or 5 days before it has to be handed in, to go over everyones work.....As you will be surprised of what some people do! Hard to belive some passed grade 5!! I kid you not!! Do not assume anything--as one knows what assume does!! if it is crap--say something, as it is your grade too...good chance if it is crap.....ur wasting ur time just saying it is crap...take time and provide them some references........Good times..Enjoy

Valium.

The problem comes in when they don't even DO the leftovers (of the actual project, not the CLC agreement paper)... or if they do, it's junk, they posted it in the color forum on Sat (day before it's due), and it's un-usable. Then, you frantically text/email the remaining group members to try & divvy up the slacker's piece to the rest of us remaining, and no one answers you. Crickets. No response. I believe they are sitting there thinking "Nope, did my part, good luck to ya".
Then, you get to do slacker's piece yourself :flmngmd:
