Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
Called in sick today (really volunteered to take another low census day so I didn't look bad calling in), this being the worst day of this darn cold. I figured I would work on my paper due Sunday. Very pleased I got a lot done until I tried to cite my second article chosen.... COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS TOO OLD!!!!!!!!! I should have been more careful since I am not feeling well. What a bummer, one third of my paper I had to delete. Not off to look for a replacement article.
OUCH!
I got over policing my fellow students in nursing school. I raised a big stink one time when there was a project due that was required to enter class. I did a great job coming up with a care plan that wasn't in the online extras for the book, everyone else just cut and pasted the care plan out of the online extras. I screamed foul, and my instructor told me "don't mind the idiots "(well that isn't what was said, but what I heard). Nothing was done, I gave up.I will bring it to the attention if someone uses my post! Not cool. For the people that just cut and paste out of the online book I have always wanted to respond.... "Wow, this is the same information that I read out of the book. Are you one of the authors of the text book?" Or something snarky like that...
Yep the copy and paster's suck! We get the last laugh because we actually LEARN something. I wanted to call out the copy cats on the forum. It drove me nuts
Love the neener-neener emotie, lol.
So first of all, Hello! Happy Halloween, but Happy Friday is my main concern. Horrid week.
Good new from GCU.. the Cleps are all cleared and good to go..not sure what changed their minds?
or if new counselor made sure all info got to the right ppl? Either way, this is huge for me.
At this point I am thinking starting week after Thanksgiving. My daughters will be home and can help me with PP.
I may not be able to shade the edges and such.. but I want to be able to take the project over if no one else wants
to! I want it to be a decent presentation.. and if no one else is knowing how to do it, I can... I will as Rob has done, stick
to it to make it good.
This also gives me a chance for a break over the holidays to work ahead. Which I think given I am an older learner and want things to be just so... will be good.
Since I now know photos can be beveled... I need mine to be beveled!! Of course! Honestly am on a huge learning curve with power point. I am willing and I know able. I went from multiple computer systems in the past 6 years.. American Girl, John Deere Credit, UW Clinics, VA, etc.. I can learn but it does not come to me naturally.. so.. will ask my daughters for help.. I would suggest, given their masters degrees, they can help me put together a powerpoint? I worked like a dog for years for them to go to school.. time for a bit of payback!! Don't you think???
