Is there any updated information? I have been in heavy contact with them and am looking at taking their RN-BSN program. I work with a GCU grad and she has nothing but positive things to say, but I want more opinions. ?
Any pro's and cons? Thankfully the only class I'm missing is stats and that is offered in the actual BSN program. I'm a bit nervous as my algebra skills are way old. If anyone took this class, do you have any advice?
I have to say, with all the "fun" of CLCs I love GCU! I really look at this board as you would the school hallway where you commiserate about assignments/teachers, etc, but you know deep down that there are really good things going on at your school. The teacher I have now has been more instructive than anyone so far, and talk about easy to approach!!! All I got to say is that even with the little hiccoughs.....Go 'lopes!
Thank you for your thoughts. I think I am scared. And because of it, I AM reading too much into your comments. Putting it into perspective, you are just venting....not unhappy. I see that now.
I am scared but the only way to know if I can do this is to give it a try.
I feel very supported here and by my new counselor. I need to relax!
I needed to hear your thoughts. Back on the donkey trail this am!
Felicity is a bit worried about Fred and his antics, also. But have discussed
some strategies! :)
I am bowing out.. even tho I got a super counselor.. I am not willing to put up with the daily headaches you all have.I don't mean to generalize.. but more that not.. professors are not answering questions, reporting grades in a timely fashion.. they claim to have high standards but that should be for both the student and professor.
I don't know how your situation is like, but I would like to encourage you to stay. I graduated. In May, at the end it was all worth it. You can always call the professors. You can find the contact number in the roll call list.
Thank you! I was over thinking everything. Congratulations on your BSN!I have the urge to go school supply shopping! Not sure if I really need anything but the computer! Do you find you need a scanner or fax? I just have an inkject printer. Those 3 in 1's are not that costly anymore.
Hi pinkpetunia, you need either a laptop or a desktop. I used a laptop, in that way I was able to complete some of the assignment at work whenever circumstances allowed me. All what you need for DQs is the electronic lecture and the ebooks. I used the library a lot because the information is usually more current.
Great, go get your BSN, it is worth it! Get all those points in your DQs to keep your GPA above 3.5. A high GPA comes in handy when you apply for your MSN or BSN-DNP, because schools do not need GRE scores if the GPA is above 3.50.
Good Luck.
PS. Yes it helps, I use to use my I pad, kindle, and laptop at the same time. I would open my ebooks on one device, navigate the library on the other, and while using the laptop to write my papers.
