Graduates of Chamberlain RN to BSN online program

Published

I am looking into the RN to BSN program that is offered by Chamberlain online. I really like my admissions advisor and I LOVE that I'm taking a smaller course load and can finish in a year. The problem I'm having is Chamberlains connection with Devry University. When I google reviews on "chamberlain/devry" All I see are negative reviews. I was hoping to get some opinions from students who had been through the program or are going through the program recently. Did you like the school? Were the staff and professors supportive while you were at Chamberlain? Did you have any complaints while at the school and did they work with you to resolve them?

I personally graduated from Chamberlain/Phoenix in April of this year and I couldn't be happier with my education, the support I received during and after school, and the ethics and inspiration this school is making in our community. I think any school is going to have nah-sayers and people who are unhappy for one reason or another. That said, Chamberlain, throughout my 2.5 years, made every effort (sometimes to a fault) to address concerns, make changes and move towards becoming excellent in every aspect of the education of nurses. That said, I hope this helps and good luck.

I received my BSN from Chamberlain online. I have no complaints. I am now getting ready to start a ped nurse practitioner program with Drexel.

My husband will be going to Chamberlain in a few years.

Just finished the program with a 4.0 GPA ,and Chamberlain was a great school. However, DeVry may make you cry ! Here is why : DeVry online will not allow you to see what future weeks hold unlike Chamberlain . The work load of Devry is like taking two Chamberlain classes at once. DeVry's Econ is ( if you don't have business in your background ) like taking Quantum Physics without any physics background. Hard ! Furthermore , I know a young lady that dropped Econ twice ,and she is a hard working student. I LOVE CHAMBERLAIN -but DeVry Econ is another story.

I agree with Deepinthegame. Econ is a beast but not that bad. I managed to slay it with an A. I will be completing it in march thank goodness. I dont regret CCN

I have friend of a friend who just completed Chamberlain's BSN. I also have a friend who is pursuing her BSN through Chamberlain right now. Both parties love Chamberlain, they've never mentioned Devry. I didn't even know they were affiliated.

I graduated from Chamberlain's RN-BSN in 2010. Thought it was relatively painless, but I am very skilled at writing papers and posts! I had to take a couple of courses through DeVry such as an upper-level SOCS class (I think it was Diversity in the Professions, maybe?) and Econ, but I graduated with a 4.0. I went in with 206 credits or some ridiculous number, so I didn't have to do too much gen ed. I had to take an extra two credits beyond the classes I needed just to meet the 32-credit requirement to graduate, so I took some two-credit Computers for Business Systems (or something like that) class that was all about Microsoft Office.

I liked my advisor and the professors, overall. Even at DeVry. :)

How long did it take to finish the BSN? I am speaking with a counselor and she mentioned I may need as few as 32 credits due to my ASN, BA and MBA. I hope it does not take too long to complete.

I read those awful reviews, as well. I think it is sad that they don't offer stats for nurses or an Econ class for nurses. I am scheduled for Econ in March and will take it w/o a nursing class. I will say I chose to take College Algebra and Stats at a local DeVry campus. I had two of the most incredible profs for those classes. The dean of academics was amazing. I remained friends with the algebra professor and will forever. They should def have the same standards, but they don't. Work ahead, and in stats, do the homework until you have 100%! Good luck!

Hi, I need to take 3 credit course just to meet 32 credit requirements by Chamberlain. Any suggestions? Please help. I need an easy class. Thanks a lot.

I was two credits short and took the only two-credit course at the time - something like "business systems for computing," it was all about Microsoft Office. I recommend finding something like that, it is always a good idea to sharpen your technology skills in today's nursing environment. Good luck!
