I have looked up information regarding statistics for those who have been accepted into anesthesia school and haven't found information regarding the average of grades, GRE scores, years of experiences, certifications, etc. Remember when you were applying for you undergrad, you could find out information about the incoming class and their average gpa, SAT scores, etc. To those of you who are CRNA's and SRNA's or soon to be SRNA's if you don't mind can you post what your gpa, GRE scores, years of experience, and other information so I can get an ideal of what to do to become a CRNA. Thank you for all that reply!!
While it is true that you need references from coworkers, I wouldn't advertise the fact that you got in. It seems to make people bitter. I would like to think that your supervisor would be professional enough not to advertise the fact that you asked for a reference as it can create ill feelings among your peers.
Ok Ok Ok, there is too many smart people here. It's going to be maybe 2 to 3 years before I start to apply to a CRNA program. I a new new also. My GPA out of nursing was a 2.9, but I worked hard for that GPA. I haven't took my GRE yet. I'm very interested in becoming a CRNA. Is it possible to be a little average and still make it into the CRNA program????????
Well - what "they" say is that if you lack in one area, in your case GPA, then you need to be that much better in all the other areas - experience, recs, GRE and interview. Usually if you had only a little experience, you need stellar numbers to get in. I think schools do make exceptions for people. You could also take some of the graduate classes ahead of time and ace them to show you're up for the academic challenge.

hi, i'm a foreign BSN graduate and my GPA scoring from my country is kinda different, in my country 1 is the highest and 5 is fail. And I am very interested to do CRNA in the near future. Since the scoring from my country is different from here.. what is exactly the range of a GPA of 3?
Thanks

It differs, but it should be greater than a "B"
In most areas a 3.0-3.5 is a B- to a B+
A 3.5-4.0 is an A- to an A+

Hello everyone, here are my stats:

GRE: 1310 (I read like 7 study books before taking it)
CCRN, PALS, ACLS

applied to 3 schools, heard back from Barry University for early admission for Jan 2008, drove to Miami to interview, offered acceptance for class starting 2008!!!! I have heard good things about them, and have been real impressed with their organization and friendliness..........think I am going to accept and withdraw my two other apps, I couldnt believe I got in my first try!!!
What a stressful process this can be, I was doing vagal manuevers to slow my heart rate right before they called me in to interview:0]
But as nervous as I was, I got strangely calm when they started asking me questions and gave honest and enthusiastic answers to their questions. Best advice: be honest during the interview, and be confident but not cocky
