CRNA program at Northeastern Fall 2009
I'm really hoping that it works out... I talked to Steve about a month ago and he said that they were still waiting to hear back from some people before they would start calling people on the wait list... So I hope to hear something soon... Congrats though!

CRNA program at Northeastern Fall 2009
I was just wondering how long you guys were given to make a decision. I just found out I'm on the wait list is why I am asking... I was just trying to figure out when the other students who decided to go to other schools had to let Northeastern know by... Last year I know that a lot got in off the waiting list, so I'm hopeful!

Anyone going to Northeastern University this fall?
I know that you said to know your drugs for the interview... Did they ask you about drugs you mentioned using in taking care of patients or did they randomly ask you specifice drugs and MOA? Also did each person interview you separately or as a group? I'm applying for the class of '09 at Northeastern... I was also surprised that you had mentioned your interview was short b/c it seems like it would take time for the get to know you Q's, describing a pt/case you had taken care of, and other Q's they might ask you...

Interview at Boston College

"Accepted" with only a year of experience?
Hi, I was thinking of applying to schools in the Boston area this fall... However, I was just wondering how you went about getting recs from work? I haven't been on this particular ICU that I currently work at for very long and I know how it might appear that I just used them to get into CRNA school... Everyone has been so nice to me and I know hospitals spend a lot of time/money/effort on training new employees, I'm sure they won't be too thrilled that there would be a possibility of me leaving so soon.. Any advice you might have on this would be great, since it already sounds like you went through this process...

Grades, Gre Scores, Experience, etc...
Oh, Okay Thanks... I'm new at this, so I don't really know what to do. I will just start getting official work experience this summer after I graduate, so I have a little while until I can apply.

Grades, Gre Scores, Experience, etc...
I have heard this before that you don't want to let people at your work know that you want to apply. However, don't you need letters of rec from your floor manager?

trouble finding a job in ICU in CT
I left a message with St. Raphael's nurse recruiter, so I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Also, you are right New Haven does hire new grads, I just didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket. Thanks so much for your input though:)

trouble finding a job in ICU in CT
I will graduate in May '07 with my bachelors in nursing at the University of Oklahoma. My parents recently moved to CT (near Newtown) and I have been calling around to local hospitals to ask about job availability in ICU... Needless to say it's been a little discouraging. I have been calling hospitals and asking for the nurse recruiters, but several hospitals said they don't even hire recent nursing grads for ICU. Different people have been telling me it's not what you know but who you know. I really want to be able to apply to CRNA school asap, so I know how vital getting a job in ICU is... I am willing to drive at least an hour. Any advice any one might have would be great! Thanks in advance

I would prefer to move in with them once I graduate to save money, so that's why I'm pushing so hard to find a job here.
