GPC Fall 2013 letters

Published

I can't believe it. I have read in the past I wouldn't hear until the end of March or April to know if I was accepted. To my very happy surprise, I got my letter in the mail today! Let the games begin.....anyone else here from GPC? Good luck to you all!

On our required textbook list there is only fundamentals of nursing, but there are several under suggested. Do any of you already in the program recommend getting any of the others? Trying to save some money if I won't be using it.

90 percent of the class comes from fundamentals. I would say get the nutrition and pharmacology book and a good care plan book. And fundamentals for success.

What are the weekly schedules like? Do you go mon-fri? I saw when I registered class times are Tue and wed, but I know there are several other things. when do they give you the schedule? At orientation?

I'm giving up my spot at GPC today- hoping one of you get it! Best of luck this fall!

Stephanie,

I guess you got into KSU?

Stephanie,

I guess you got into KSU?

Yeah, I got into KSU a few weeks ago but wanted to make sure I passed my Chemistry class before I have up my GPC spot.

Thanks- you as well!

Has anyone ordered their books or signed up for CPR? I have a class in Alpharetta on Thursday at 10 am for CPR. I have ordered a few of the suggested books, besides the requested Fundamentals of Nursing. How is everyone else doing on the 'list'? I have all my shots except working on the Hep B. And you?

I haven't ordered any books yet but I have my shopping cart ready for check out for our uniforms and supplies! Just waiting on payday lol. Im planning on going to get the rest of my shots this Thursday. And im signed up for a CPR class in Duluth.

Are any of you planning on attending the boot camp? I wish orientation was sooner than August! Can't wait to meet all of you :)

So I have a question regarding the hep B shot...

I got the first dose in 95 but I didn't continue them, will I be able to go right on to the second? Also how long is it you wait between shots? I don't think ill have the 3rd one completed by the deadline and now im really worried :/
