Well, I know where you should not apply. GSU and KSU, they are wanting at least a 3.5. You could try clayton state, but that might be competitive too. GPC has an ADN program, i would look into that. If none of those seem like they are going to take you, you might want to redo a class. I had to take over an anatomy class to bring my C to an A.

most schools here in mi. want a least a 3.4 i would also recommend taking a class over that maybe you received a c in. i started off at a 2.5 and had to take 4 classes over to get to a 3.5 and i was accepted to start this fall. so good luck!

This is soooo frustrating! I would have to retake four classes also! I think main worry is that I won't be able to graduate in four years like I planned!

It's more important that you'll be able to pass once you get into nursing school. Investing the time now may be worthwhile later.

Community college? My GPA is a 3.4 and I was accepted for the fall to College of Coastal GA which is technically now a 4 year school, but they are just now transitioning. They only offer a associates RN right now, but are going to offer a BSN soon.

You still have a chance. If you have questions go to the source. Contact the nursing department, make appts, go with your unofficial transcripts and you will see if you have a shot. GPA is not the only thing that they look at. Did you take any of the entrance exams? If so are they high? If you have a low GPA you will want to make sure you score high on your entrance exams.

Check out GA baptist. They have extended the deadlines and the apps are due June 8, 2009. They will calc serveal GPAs to help you out: science, transfer, overall, and even a change of pattern GPA if needed. They focus on the reading portion of the NET.

Do not let your dream go. Getting into school is a case by case. The most important thing is to be proactive!! Schools love that!!

Thank u guys so much for the responses....I managed to pull off a 3.1 after finals by the skin of my teeth! At least I'm a little higher...anyway my test scores are not too well and I plan to retake both my TEAS=83% and NET=66 . I also considering Gordon college's spring program...does anyone have any info on them?

Hey,

I just got into Gordon's Fall '09 program. I had to take the TEAS, and from what my advisor told me, is that they don't have a set score that they are looking for as far as the TEAS is concerned. They generally go by the scores taken at that given time and select the best from those that are taking the TEAS. As far as GPA, they require at least a 2.0, but if you if you have anything above at least a 2.5 or a 3.0, it makes you a stronger candidate. Just my input. Any other questions...let me know. There's also a couple threads on here about Gordon that can answer your questions as well. Overall, I've heard nothing but good things about them. Hope that helps ya out some:twocents: :wink2:

Thank-ya!!!! Gordon is in Barnesville, GA...needless to say, I AM NOT moving to that area lol. I stay out east in Lithonia so my commute is gonna be a lil crazy but still worth though:yeah:
