Well the the problem is I also take out loans for cost of living. I'm estimating that by the time I graduate I will have approx $220k in loans which seems like a lot to me lol. I wish there were more loan repayment programs but I realize I'll just have to make some sacrifices for now. Thanks for your input!

Hi! I'm in CRNA school and wanted to get a more recent expectation of what is to come for graduates. My questions are: 1) How much debt did you have when you graduated? 2) How long did it take you to pay it off? 3) How did you pay it off? (Example: employer loan repayment, overtime, etc...) Right now I'm going to a very expensive program ($110k total) and want to get an idea of the variety of ways to get loans paid off quickly. I'll be 29 when I graduate and I would like to have kids and eventually be part time for a little while.

Just thought I'd update the progress on my application process. So far I've applied to 9 schools. I was rejected right away from 3. I interviewed at 2 (and got rejected after the interview at one, still waiting to hear from the other). I have another interview scheduled in September. And I'm waiting to hear from the other 3. Since I originally posted I got my CCRN. I was rejected by the 1st 3 before I got it. I haven't been denied an interview since receiving it. I haven't retaken the GRE but I may consider doing so if I don't get into the school I just interviewed at. I will also consider taking an advanced patho class to help my application.

I finally got a call today!

I tried to call them on Monday to see if they were inviting people by email or mail. Didn't know they were doing phone calls. I hope to hear from them soon. This wait is awful!

Hi! I have an interview on Aug 6!

Yeah I'm going to see if I can ask some of my coworkers who got in if I can see their letters they submitted. I think I've gotten better with interviews but I'll study hard and hope for the best!

Well that's good to hear. I was concerned after I got my GRE scores and saw they didn't meet the minimum requirements for some schools. I will def get the CCRN as soon as I qualify.

I plan on applying to CRNA school this year but I'm trying to figure out if I'll even be considered. I've been a RN since 2011 and started working in the MICU at a large academic teaching hospital last year in June. So here's what I have Nursing GPA 3.38 Chem B Anatomy and physiology B GRE Verbal 147 Math 150 (waiting on writing score) I only have CMSRN. I plan to get CCRN as soon as I can. And experience I will have 2 years nursing, in addition to 1.5-2 years ICU experience depending on when I start. I'm considering re-taking the GRE to hopefully score a little higher. I know I slightly missed the recommended scores for Samford and a few others. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm considering taking an online chemistry class to open up more opportunities for other schools. I haven't taken chem I since 2007. I want to make sure I take an online class that I will get credit for when I apply to CRNA school. I keep seeing things about UNE and wanted to know what other options there may be before I sign up.
