Hi,
I have recently received acceptance to a graduate entry program with a GPA of 3.1. During the application process I was extremely nervous that my gpa was not "good enough". I would credit my acceptance to my volunteer, research, and medical experience. My advice is to get to know the school you apply to. If the school strictly depends of GPA, then try to find another school that values other experiences and talents. Don't give up! Good Luck!!!!!
Let me clarify this..I was living in SF, Ca and applied to schools there and the ONLY school here in NYC was Adelphi. Adelphi was the first school to accept me, 2 others in CA put me on a one year waiting list and one sent me my acceptance letter 6 (SIX!!) months AFTER Adelphi accepted me which was 4 weeks after I applied. I forgot that I applied to SRJC (my alma mader for JC) also and they denied me b/c they added an English class to their prerequisites and I wasn't aware ot it. I chose Adelphi b/c at the time, it was the best choice and actually, still is. Although I took a HIKE in tuition, I am done in 12 months:) This wouldn't have been the case with the other schools! The schools in Ca were state schools, all of them. SF, San Diego and Bakersfield.
Hope that helps, I think I should have calrified that I only applied and now attend the NYC school. Sorry.
