Army nursing board met on Tuesday, Nov. 17th and I guess we should expect to hear from them today. Anyone else went up for the Nursing board and if so have you heard anything? I hope we all get accepted. I am excited and really want to go to OBLC in either the February or March class, if I am accepted, because I heard the summer's are brutal. I hope by the end of the day we will all have good news!!!

I am also waiting to hear for November. My recruiter said I may not know until around Tuesday. Good Luck and please post when you hear something.

Wow!!! That makes me sad now because my recruiter told me I should hear from her by the end of the day. We will keep our fingers crossed and just relax.:smokin:

It would be wonderful to know today.

Just spoke with recruiter she confirmed that we should know by Tuesday. This is going to be a long weekend!!! What stations did you request, and are you a New Grad? If we are accepted when do you think we will attend OBLC?

I would like to attend OBLC in March. I have been a nurse for three years. I chose Hawaii, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Specializes in CVICU.

Are you a new grad? My recruiter is slow as molasis. They are now saying that there gonna get my stuff in for decembers boards. I graduated in may and got my licence in June and they told me they couldnt send me earlier because there was a 6month wait for new grads going to reserves. She also told me they didnt have a tech so she would have to manually scan my info in. Im hoping shes not lazy and or overworked and thats whats holding me up. Anyhow, good luck with your boards!

I applied for active duty and my paper work went to board for November 17th. My recruiter said that I should hear back from him within a week. Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Yes I am a new grad. I graduated May 2009 and passed NCLEX in August. I have been working at NYU since June of this year as a Clinical Research Coordinator. My previous degree is in Biology and then I went through an accelerated BSN program so I merged the two degrees and decided to do clinical research while I wait to go into the Army. I started the journey of Army research and paperwork in October and went for the November 17th boards. My recruiter is really awesome. She is a nurse and used to be a flight nurse which is a rare job. She focused on me and my packet completely and as a result hopefully I will be picked. Its really nerve wrecking. Good Luck.

I got word from my recruiter on friday that I was boarded (YAY!) but they will make the final selection of who's RA and on Merit Status next week.. meaning, just b/c i've passed through the selection boards doesn't mean that I'll be on Active Duty right away. I'll find out next week. Anyone else get similar news?

I also received word on Friday that I also was boarded meaning I went through the quality control check and my packet was accepted, but doesn't mean we will be selected by the Board for Active Duty. Supposedly the selection list will be e-mailed by Tuesday by the HRC. We all are keeping our fingers crossed. The wait is killing me.
