Got my NCLEx results...

FAILED! I feel like crap right now! This was the second time too! The first time was at 75 questions, and now at 265! I guess the only good thing that came out of it is that I am near the passing standard on most of the content areas! I took Kaplan, and they had high passing rates! Are there any other programs out there that I can use? I think I am done with Kaplan, I took the practice tests too many times!

Im sorry that you failed! relax for a couple of days. and start another plan. I failed the first time with 75 questions.... and the second time it stopped at 75 so I thought I failed.

For the second time around ... I bought the NCBSN program online -- did all the questions in each chapter. And about 3 weeks before my exam .. I bought the Mosby's CAT online and did questions. The last 3 - 4 days before my exam .. I used the Kaplan Question Trainer CD. Along with using the NCBSN program I was also using the Springhouse NCLEX 3000.

Make sure you go over the rationale -- and jot down notes which you can refer back to them if something comes up.

You can do this!!!

Sorry to hear you didn't pass again. But I say keep trying till you do pass, if you made it thru nursing school then you can do it. Maybe you should re-evaluate your strategy, it must be something that your just not doing right that's making you answer the questions wrong. I even find with myself that yes, I do know the material but I'm not using good test taking strategies (for practice test) which I believe alot of times is the key to answering correctly. Along with our anxiety level and stress level at the time.

Moderator Suzanne4 has material that she has given to others to help in their preparation, maybe you can ask about it.

Best Wishes!

There is no reason that we can't get you thru this exam, but you need to tel me what you were doing to prepare for these previous attempts so we can figure out what you need to pay more attention to.

Please send me your e-mail address, do not post it here, and I will send you the packet that I use.

If you do not already have a Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN, I suggest that you work on getting that.:wink2:

Please stay in touch.

Oh, man..I'm so sorry. How disheartening that must be :(

Hopefully Suzanne will get you back on track, and before you know it you'll be a nurse

Hi Suzanne,

Can you send me a packet that maybe I can use to help me go through this exam again.. I didnt pass this time around but the content that I messed up on was the Reduction of Risk Potential- lab values etc... Oh, I know this was horrible for me because I had difficulty in answering questions, but the other categories for NCLEX I did pass... well near the passing standard that is... Anyway, I am already using Saunders which by the way helped me a lot... I guess I just need more discipline in planning for my time to study and maybe some help on how to remember things like the values... I hated memorizing...

Your help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, the exam I took was for CA RN.

Thanks! :specs:
