Kind of hard to cram, but don't freak out and get nervous because that will really mess you up. Most people are getting priority & delegating, meds (and not the familiar ones so know the classes), labs, med levels, math. Good luck to you...
omg. ok, all my worst subjects!!! meds...ughhhhh. there is a neat little tool i found though, with the suffixes of med names and what class they are, so maybe i will check that out. med math? eeeeks. all i can do is try to brush up these next few days....and PRAY!!!!

Ok now? I'm a little confused here and concerned as well?
Question for you lpnnj479:
How long have you been studying?
I sincerely hope you are not going to be cramming from today till next week! I really think that is not enough time to study.
Are you doing the RN boards or the LVN boards?
Because really, if you are doing the RN boards.......I do have to tell you that it take about 1 month or 2 month to really, really prep yourself. Because I can tell you honestly that the RN boards when I took it today involved a lot of CRITICAL THINKING!!! Im not to sure about the LVN boards....although I did do it about 9 years ago and I do remember taking about 1 month to study. I do remember a lot of math questions and a lot of procedures especially sterile procedure and and meds. You have to have a foundation in medical terminology.
So really, if you are not feeling prepared or not feeling confident.......in my opinion I think you should reschedule your date. You really don't want to go in to the center and not knowing and having that feeling "i should of studied more".
So please, study, study, study if you haven't really dedicated into it!
Good Luck!

relax rela relax im sure you will kill that CAT!!!!
oooooh...what a way to kill my confidence, or what little i had naturally. I am taking the nclex pn...i tend to retain info well...and i figure it this way, if i dont know it by now after just graduating then something is wrong. I studied my butt off during school and i graduated on the 14th..so its only 2 weeks later. and yes i plan to cram for the next few days.
Dave, thanxs for the vote of confidence!!!! I will let you know what happens!!! wooooo hoooooooo!!!!

Sorry to tell you but cramming is the worst thing that you can do for this exam. We actually tell people to put everything away several days before they test. You have never seen anything like this exam, please let us know what you thought of it after you test. We also recommend that one has 3500 questions done minimum before they test, not just a day or two of doing questions.
How you did in school, has absolutely no bearing on this exam. It is designed to see what you will do with the information that is already in your head, not what you are going to try to cram into it now.
Preparation should have started several weeks before you were done with your program.
It is not going to be easy for you, but best of luck.
Yeah, I agree with Suzanne alright!
But if that's what you want to do, just keep practicing A LOT of questions and read into those rationales and go back to the book and understand why you got it wrong.
:up:Best of Luck to ya!
oh, i have prepared well..i actually started practicing questions while still in school, we had to do a minimum of 4000 practice questions, and i exceeded that. I am not saying i am going to cram..i am just reviewing. the reason for my post was to find out basically if anyone had taken it to gear me in the right direction of things to review.Just NORMAL last minute nerves, i guess.

Keep practicing questions and understand why you got any wrong. Read the rationale, understand what the question is asking.
Good luck
