Got an alternate letter from my school

Published

So I got a letter from one of the schools I'm applying to last week. It said that I'm #13 on the alternate list. So if 13 people who are on the list of 110 decide not to start in January, I will be accepted. I've already got my physical and vaccinations done. They said after Oct. 7th I will find out if I am accepted or not. I think my odds are pretty good and the lady at the school said most likely I'd get in. I am excited but nervous. I've been going back and forth wondering how I'm going to make it work financially. A couple of weeks ago I pretty much decided that it was impossible and I was about to give up and decline the offer if I got accepted anywhere, but I want this so bad and I've been working toward this goal for so long, I am going to try to make it work however I can. My husband is trying to get a second part time job since I will have to quit my full time job. I'm going to see if my work will let me go part time at least for the first semester...so hopefully that works out. I'm also applying for scholarships and loans with the school. I didn't qualify for private student loans so I got a line of credit with my bank and will use that as well...I hope all of this works out, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end if I can get through the program!! I know it's going to be very tough, but I think I'm ready. It's only 18 months out of my life and then I'll be an RN!!

I can't wait to find out if I'm in...I'm counting down the days until the 7th and hopefully I'll be able to come back with good news!

As a recent graduate from an accelerated program I can say that 15 months will fly by. Soon you will be an RN.
