Got my acceptance letter!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just had to post that i received my acceptance letter for my community college nursing program this summer. I am so happy, I now feel like I am getting closer to my goal!!!! Is anyone else applying for a program that begins this summer?

CONGRATULATIONS! I will never forget the day I got my acceptance letter... and I just took my NCLEX Monday. It goes by fast. :) GOOD LUCK!!

I got my acceptance letter about two or three weeks ago for our summer program. I'm very excited and ready to start.

congrats! i too remember when i got my letter of acceptance. get ready for the bumpy ride. sleep now as much as you can. learn how to apply your makeup in less than 5 mins., maybe because thats about all the time im left with for this task. lol beware you may gain or lose weight and your skin may go bonkers. dry out, break out and shine with enough oil to stir fry on.... all in a few days! coffee may become your best friend. if your hair is long, you'll soon tire of the bun your hair gets pulled back into after a few weeks of clinicals. trust me, chopping 5 inches off has helped wonders. if you have kids or a spouse, get everyone on a routine, including family time, spouse time, study time and most importantly, you time. have some extra money, noone really tells you this but there are lots of expenses that add up fast!! ranges from lunch/snacks to uniforms, gas, books and exam fees. your patience will be tested, you may break down and cry, your family and friends will swear you've sold your sole to the devil himself at times but most importantly, remember WHY youre doing the program and give extra hugs and kisses when you can. I just got my acceptance letter today for the second degree program at robert morris university. So happy :D...It starts in the last week of Aug, so its basically for the fall of 2012. and 15 months long then ill hopefully be ready for the NCLEX!

congratulations!!!!! i still remember the day i received mine; i experienced every emotion all at once. i screamed, laughed, and cried even though i was by myself. then i called everyone and told them the great news, updated my facebook status, etc. i asked for advice from nurses and those who were nursing students at the time. everyone said the same thing. pretty much similar to what carmela mae posted. get your life in order!!!!!!! get organized, you will thank yourself later. learn that your social life and time with family will be miniscule and also learn that some may take it personal. sacrifices must be made if this is truly your dream. again, congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! I found out on Feb 14 that I will be starting this summer too! I am very excited and nervous at the same time! What state is your program in?
