Hello everyone!
I am applying to Gordon College's nursing program for the spring. I was accepted to the program for the fall semester but had to decline because I did not think that I could finish my A&P2 and micro classes this summer. My gpa dropped a little since I was accepted and I was wondering if any previously accepted students could help me determine my chances for getting in for the spring. I am taking A&P2 and microbiology this fall to satisfy the rest of my core. My gpa is a 3.26 and I got an 83.5 on my TEAS. Do you think that those scores will be good enough? When I got in for fall I had a 3.36 gpa and the same score on my TEAS, so theyre not that much different. This is the only program that I am applying for so I'm just hoping that I get in. If anyone can help me figure out my chances, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks :)
Hey guys i'm sorry I was at work n my hubby had text me so I wasn't sure. It was a regular envelope the 1st letter says Congratulations and tells you what you are going to need to do and the 2nd page you have to sign either accepting or declining a seat and return to them. If I can remember correctly my science gpa, just the a&p classes and micro I think is like a 3.0 cuz I didn't do so well in my micro class, my overall gpa (if speaking of just the required classes/prereq's) is about a 3.5 and I got an 82 on the TEAS. @Dixie I don't think where you live really depends on how fast or slow you will receive a letter from them. I've had all of the prereq's that they require for the ASN done for about a year now and I finished all the prereq's for the BSN in May. I hope this helps :)
@Cee, Thanks for the reply. It was very helpful and Congratulations again!
@cnhanley, Congratulations! I remember us comparing our stats at the beginning of the post and they were very similar except the fact that I am a transfer student so hopefully they don't hold that against me and let me in.
No mail came today from Gordon but I do live in Clayton County, Atlanta so maybe it will come tomorrow. I am praying so hard that I will get in.
Once again, Congratulations to everyone that got their acceptance letters. For the rest of us, our day will come!
@cnhanley CONGRATS :) @Emeraldd I'm a transfer student as well so don't give up hope, I almost did but I kept praying on it. I remember seeing everywhere how they take preference for their students and all that and I was so worried Don't worry about it yours will prolly be in the mail tomorrow
