  1. I got in my first try with a 3.39 gpa, 83.5 on my TEAS, and not having finished A&P2 or microbiology. I'd say you have a good chance. I declined my spot that semester however because it would have required me to take those sciences either over the summer or while in the program which would have been impossible knowing now how involved the first semester is. I'm currently about to start my second semester of nursing school at Gordon :)
  2. Well I would love to answer them. I like your mindset about getting in. I have almost all of my BSN classes finished so it's worth it to get them over with also.. Again, good luck! I hope you gear something soon : )
  3. Youre welcome! As for my schedule, at the beginning of the semester I was going Monday (8-2) Tuesday (off) Wednesday (8-2) Thursday (9-12) and Friday (whatever time my checkoff was)...so it was almost everyday of the week. Now since clinicals have started I go Monday (8-10:20) Wednesday (8-10:20, and to the hospital in the afternoons to pick up my clinical assignment) and Thursday (6:45-3). The first half of the semester all depends on what times you register for, but you'll pretty much end up being there 4 days a week until clinicals start. My advice to you is to start studying as soon as you can, dont wait until the last minute. Same thing about any assignments, even the weekly ones. Oh, and be sure to take some time for yourself. It gets stressful so you need some time to just chill and hang out with family and friends. As for the fees, there are a lot. My fees this semester were around $650 not even including the tuition. I have Hope and Pell so that covered it. I'm a little upset about Hope only giving 90% this fall semester and not paying any fees or books so thats definitely going to be a change. I know a lot of people on loans, and I've even considered them myself. I think I covered all of your questions haha sorry I had to write so much
  4. Next to the times for the classes in banner it has capacity, actual, and remaining numbers for how many people the class can hold, how many are in the class, and how many spots remaining for the class. Of course, right now there are none since no one has been able to register yet so it just says 75. Last spring the deadline was February 28th so I figured it was the same this year. Hopefully you will hear something soon if its been that long. I know it gets hard to have to wait, but once you get that letter its one of the happiest yet most stressful days of your life because then you know whats coming the next two years haha
  5. Oh, and according to Banner web it looks like there are 75 spots for fall including the new acceptances and returning students(if there are any).
  6. Hi everyone, I'm currently in the program now. I got in for this spring. Our deadline was July 30th I believe and I received my acceptance letter on October 13th. Thats two and a half months. I think your deadline was sometime at the end of February so... it hasnt even been a month and a half yet. You may have a little waiting to do especially if its true that A LOT of people applied. Rumors are crazy before they send out the letters, but the best thing is to just be patient. Good luck to everyone and I hope that you all are accepted : )
  7. that sucks :/ I was hoping to put it in a nicer one
  8. Okay this may sound like a stupid question especially this early but you know the nurse packs we received yesterday? Can we change the bag or do we have to keep our supplies in the black tote?
  9. #1Mommy I just saw your post :) I'm in section A, I chose it so I'd have at least one day off a week (Tuesdays). Camp I can is tomorrow so I'm not sure how we could meet up? Did you have any ideas?
  10. Aw, what made you decide not to finish nursing school? I start in January & I'm hoping that I'm one of the half that stays in. Thank you for the advice. I try to talk to nursing students whenever I get a chance to see what everything is like.
  11. I got my acceptance letter today also! & it was, like you said, only two pages. I got accepted for fall also and it was very thick with like 6 papers in it. I guess they will send all of that stuff later.
  12. I got my letter today. I got ACCEPTED :)
  13. I havent heard either. I was hoping this week. Its driving me crazy. I went to the nursing seminar the other day and they really freaked me out. I didnt know this but Spring semester is when the lpns apply for admission and it has got me really scared that I may not get in because there are fewer spots. I'm not sure if any of you guys knew that. I'm also hoping that since we havent heard yet then maybe its a good thing!
  14. I have been checking every day... I guess waiting a little longer wont hurt.
  15. When I got my acceptance letter for the fall there were a lot of papers in it. So hopefully if its thick then its an acceptance. I applied again for the spring so I'm hoping for another acceptance!
