Just wanted to start a thread for people that are applying. This will be my second year applying to Gonzaga. Last year they had a record number of applicants. I've already submitted my application for this year.

Specializes in CRNA.

Interviews will be October 14th - 16th. Not a good sign for me since I'll be in Haiti the 11th - 17th.

Specializes in Cardiothoracic Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

Oh no!!! Is there any way you can rearrange your trip?

Nope. This is actually the rearrangement trip. We were supposed to go in the summer but Haiti was under a level 4 (worst one) travel advisory from the United States so we postponed the trip till it cooled downed from all the political unrest. If I get an interview, I'll have to make a tough decision.

If you get an interview invite just ask for a Skype interview. They do that

Thanks for that information. Do they just do them during the interview dates or would they let you do it before or after?

When i interviewed last year is sounded like they did a couple skype interviews before the scheduled dates. A girl in my class now at a different school did a skype interview after our scheduled interview dates. I think you just call them or email them and set up a time to skype if you get chosen to interview.

For Gonzaga I would HIGHLY recommend trying to skype before the interview dates or during, NOT AFTER. I only say this because interviews finished at Gonzaga on thursday and they had their decisions made that day, and started sending emails out the next day on friday.

For the best chance to get accepted I would say not to skype after the interview dates, because chances are decisions may already be made by that point.

At Gonzaga, the decisions were made based on a "point system" per se, on who was accepted or not.

Thanks. I would definitely do before. I took two weeks of PTO, the week before and week of the mission trip, just in case I got an interview. I would try to interview that Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday that I thought the interviews would be on.

Does anyone knows about how many applicant tend to apply? According to the site, they tend to interview 35-40 potential candidates.

Last years thread said there were over 180 applications and they interviewed 53 for 12 spots. If you get an interview at Gonzaga be proud. Gonzaga is a great school with a near perfect pass rate since 1979.

I just got my application in. This is my first year applying, but I'm hopeful!

Welcome to the Gonzaga application process.

If they keep the same schedule as last year then we should expect interview email notifications on Wednesday. They notify people that get interviews by email and then send rejection letter through the mail.
