Just wanted to start a thread for people that are applying. This will be my second year applying to Gonzaga. Last year they had a record number of applicants. I've already submitted my application for this year.
If they keep it the same week as last year then the interview should be October 7-9th. They were the 8th-10th last year. Monday is an orientation day and the interviews are on Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday according to what others have posted.
It will be interesting week if I get an interview because I leave for a mission trip that Friday the 11th

Final deadline isn't until September 1st so nothing will be decided till then. Interviews get an email, no interviews get a letter in the mail about a week after people get their interview email.

It sounds like the interview is pretty laid back with more of a get to know you style of questions (2 separate interview panels) but also containing a mock code. All this information is just what has been posted in previous threads by people that have interviewed.
I interviewed last year. Monday was orientation to the program and meeting and talking with the current students. Interviews were over the next couple of days. The interview process was 3 separate interviews. 1 interview was with a faculty and a current student that was get to know you style questions. The second was with the program director and another faculty with questions about the CRNA profession and research. The third was a mock code/clinical-based interview with 2 faculty members. They gave you a scenario specific to your ICU background. I worked cardiac ICU so my scenario was highly ACLS specific.
There were about 60 people there interviewing for the 11-12 spots
Acceptance/rejection/alternate letters were sent out within a week after the interviews concluded.
Best of luck!

I remember you posting last year. Did you get in? If you didn't get in, are you reapplying this year?
Just now, Grizzlyswim said:I got rejected. But interviewed at a few other schools and got accepted to those programs. I currently attend Old dominion's program in Virginia.
Congratulations!!! I got an interview last year at Union University but wasn't accepted. I'm applying to a few more schools this year and also it looks like Oklahoma will finally be getting a program so that may be a possibility as well.
Thanks for the information on Gonzaga's interview. It will really help people to prepare in the future. I always search previous year's threads to find as much information as I can.

So your almost at a year in ICU in a few months? Most schools want you to have at least a year by the time classes start and will allow you in interview with only a few months if you'll meet the year by the time classes start. I agree that interviews are rough and I'm not particularly good at them either. I feel like I will be better prepared this year since I had a few job interviews this spring that got me over my fear of interviews.
