Goldenwest 2014 ADN Program

Published

I just mailed away my application for the 2014 ADN program and I was curious from past students what a competitive amount of points is. I have 89/100 because I am not a vet, do not speak another language, and was advanced on the TEAS test (not exemplary). I know from attending the Cypress College orientation that everyone who got in there this past application period, and some of waitlist, had 30/30 points, but GWC does not have a live orientation so I can't really gauge their numbers. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!

I got in for Fall 2014. Does anyone know what hospitals clinicals are held at and when orientation is approximately?

ive heard that clinicals in the past were at los Alamitos, hoag, long beach memorial, Lakewood, orange coast memorial, UCI, fountain valley, st. joseph, Kaiser, CHOC... basically orange county but some in long beach area too. I think it just depends on the semester and where they are able to place students that year

Thank you so much for the info!!!! :) :)

I got in for the Fall 2014 cohort :) woooo!

That is correct, but it changes from semester to semester too. Good luck to you all. Its a great program.

I'm new to this website, but I just received a letter from Golden West stating that I'm on their "alternates" list. I'm hoping this is sort of a good thing?! haha. Still waiting for a couple other schools :)

Congratulations to all of you that got accepted!!!!!!!

I too received an accpetance letter for fall 2014 but will not be taking the seat so good luck to those on the alternate list!!

What is the date and time of the mandatory orientation? I cant seem to find the email that they sent.. thanks!

After I emailed accepting my spot, they told me we would be emailed early May regarding pre-enrollment instructions.

Likewise :)

Congratulations to those who got in :]

I also got accepted into the 2014 Fall cohort.. Very excited to start..

I received an email 2 ago days regarding the immunizations, background check, etc.

To those who got in, better get started. Dont fall behind because you will be dropped if not completed by the deadline..

I received the email April 21st. Make sure you check the email you listed on your application... and dont forget to check your spam folder...

Does anyone know for the alternates if they mail you an acceptance letter, email, or call you?

Have any of the alternates been contacted about spots?
