I just mailed away my application for the 2014 ADN program and I was curious from past students what a competitive amount of points is. I have 89/100 because I am not a vet, do not speak another language, and was advanced on the TEAS test (not exemplary). I know from attending the Cypress College orientation that everyone who got in there this past application period, and some of waitlist, had 30/30 points, but GWC does not have a live orientation so I can't really gauge their numbers. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated!
Yes, according to the online catalog, there is a traditional course and online.. although listed as TBA... I think I just got a grey hair lol.
Do they have pharma online? They accepted you knowing that you haven't taken it so you should be ok. Call them or ask them when you drop off ur CPR and tb test.
Yup. That's a lot of school. 8-3 for the transition course, 525-915 for critical thinking.... you'lll be there all day long!
Oh and did you get that email today from ---------------? I called the counselor line to make an appointment, first the lady said," there are no appointments till fall." I quoted the email which stated to let them know I was accepted in the bridge program then was put on hold for 5 minutes. She comes back and says that I just need to do walk-in counseling...
Have you taken English G110 critical thinking? It's same days as the summer transition class frrom 525 to 915, I'm kind of thinking of taking it to get it out of the way in 6 weeks but I'm not sure if I can handle both classes =/
The main prerequisites are college level English, microbiology, anatomy, and physiology. Chemistry nor pharmacology is a required prerequisite as of right now. Pharm. Used to be required but they changed it. It is not implimented into the program.
As for math I'm not to sure but I did take college algebra and stats. If you haven't taken college algebra , I would recommend taking it.

Yes, everything but pharm, I'm worried now. The application says its recommended, the prereq form says required. I wanna start in fall, but if I need pharm, I have to take it in the summer and its available at the time were going to be in the transition course...I hope I can take the online pharm course with the transition class...
