Hello fellow fall 2019 applicants!

God willing, we will find out if we made it into the fall 2019 cohort at Golden West the latter part of April. I have been waiting for someone to start a post so we could all "calmly" wait this process out together! I know I am not the only one out here so please join me as we "patiently" wait for our acceptance emails/mail! All positive vibes, I am low key an internal wreck, if you cannot tell by the words I strategically placed within "quotes", lol.

But then Saddleback has a preceptorship program where it seems like you can request a specialty you want to do for it. Both definitely have their perks!

I heard the same thing as far as the BSN with Fullerton and a few other schools. I think they call it, Jumpstart and it’s classes and clinicals.

I am very much interested in getting, or at least attempting to get my BSN while working on the ADN. Most hospitals, especially magnet hospitals are more inclined to hire BSN graduates.

Anyone else constantly checking the nursing page to see if it is updated??? I know it says end of April but on the pages for previous years people were saying they got their letters on April 2nd and April 6th...the anticipationnnn

Yes, I have been checking! I work night shift so I sleep during day and I got this alarm from my phone and saw I had a text message. I looked at my phone with sleepy eyes and saw GWC and immediately thought it was the nursing department delivering the news if I made it or not. I literally fell out my bed entangled in sheets and grasping my phone I was like, "That nursing department is so tech savy sending text messages now to all the applicants..." Then I readjusted my eyes so see it was only my summer registration appointment date! ???

Early April!! That’s next week! Great, now I’m going to be obsessed about the mailman!! Ha!

Hello Everyone,

I have applied to GWC with 78 points if they counted my volunteer hours. Everyone here points are really high! I am very nervous, with last semester/year's applicants got in with high 70's but I feel like this semester applicants have a lot of the 80s! Well, Let's keep each other posted and pray that we all get in!

Yes I agree it is very competitive this semester! I cannot wait until April comes and we can finally find out if we made it or not!
