Hey everyone,

I just wanted to start a thread for everyone applying to GWC this month so we can answer each other's questions, share our points, and check status' if we wind up on the alternate list.

so i just registered to do the pharmacology course over summer & then i realized that it's 1 day a week in class but the rest is online. Has anyone taken that online, I just want to make sure it's as in depth :/

I saw that too... And also having the same questions. I usually HATE online classes. I don't learn as much

Does anyone know how the program at Golden West compares to Santa Ana. I have heard good and bad about both. It seems that Golden West has a higher percentage passing rate for NCLEX

I think it was 60! This is my second time placed on alternate list. Very discouraging!

Hang in there! You never know. Someone might decide not to go and the spot might go to you. I'm on the wait list for CSULA, LB and Fullerton. And I haven't heard the final decision from any of the schools so I can imagine a lot of people might end up getting into these schools and decline GWC offer. But we won't find out until June.

For those on the alternate list are you given a number? Or does it just say alternate? My mail should be here in the next hour! Yikes!!

Got my letter today. I'm on the alternate list as well. 61 points. (Shrug) Let's all keep each other informed on here of when we get contacted by Golden West if we were offered a spot or not. Good luck ladies.:woot:

I feel like most of the alternates get in because a lot of people who get accepted have really high points & take places @ other schools

yeah i've never taken anything online :( i looked on rate my professor & everyone said that Catherine Egan is a good prof. She also teaches the pathophysio
