Golden West College ADN Fall 2021

Hi all! I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who are planning to apply for GWC ADN Program for Fall 2021. I thought we could post any questions, help, or updates. 

I will be applying with either 82 or 87 points depending on my TEAS score. Right now I'm hovering in the mid 80s for practice exams, but hoping I can still land in the 90s. 

It looks like last semester was really competitive so it's making me nervous. 

I just received the email regarding the glove size for the Nursing G130 class but so far no orientation date. I’m a little worried ? how long did it take you guys to received your orientation date?

I haven’t received email about glove size. I’m worried now. I emailed her yesterday but still waiting for reply.

The orientation date is shown on the acceptance letter. I haven’t received anything except the confirmation email from her

Is anyone planning on getting their BSN after their ADN? If so, how do you plan on getting your BSN? does GWC have any agreements for a path to BSN?

Same here!  No other email besides the confirmation. Makes me nervous!!

Yes I’m planning to get BSN. Probably either through a bridge RN to BSN program with a state college or WGU. I’m hoping to do a one year RN to BSN.

I got that email, as well, but still no MOU or pre-enrollment instructions!

at the bottom of this link has the RN-BSN roadmaps and GWC has a co-enrollment program w/ CSUF.

I'm getting a bit nervous about not receiving the email about the gloves... so I went to check my "Degree Works" in GWC Portal and it shows Major: Nursing Registered Nurse, and shows how much I have completed for the major. Hopefully that's a good things that my spot in the program was confirmed.

I heard that we should be expecting to receive the MOU and pre enrollment packets by next week!

My orientation date was mentioned at the end of the offer email. Maybe you can check there. I haven't received any separate email about orientation date.

After thinking about my options, I declined my spot at GWC. Hopefully that space will make someone very happy! Good luck to everyone!
