Golden West College ADN Fall 2021

Hi all! I wanted to start a new thread for those of us who are planning to apply for GWC ADN Program for Fall 2021. I thought we could post any questions, help, or updates. 

I will be applying with either 82 or 87 points depending on my TEAS score. Right now I'm hovering in the mid 80s for practice exams, but hoping I can still land in the 90s. 

It looks like last semester was really competitive so it's making me nervous.

July?! Like 1st week of July? How do you know the minimum is 88 points? I definitely don't have that haha

Not sure of date exactly! As for the 88 minimum I heard from a friend in the nursing committee

Wow 88 points minimum is a crazy jump. I thought last semester people were getting in with 79+??

Fall semester more competitive and depend on the applicants!! Guess there was a lot of applicants with high points ?

dang that is a really high cut off! out of curiosity, how did you hear from the committee/dean? was it posted somewhere or did you hear from somewhere maybe?

@pumpkin2 nooo it's not posted anywhere..my friend is on the nursing committee for the school & she told me it was from the previous dean~

oohhh I see dang that’s crazy! I have 88 points right on the cut off ?? but hoping for the best! I really wish they could just announce decisions in even late June bc currently I’m committed to santa ana and I don’t wanna go through all the paperwork just to start over at GWC ?

88?!? Hopefully I’ll scrape in as an alternate! If I don’t get in, I’ll be reapplying for Spring with 91 points ?. But I was really hoping to start in Fall.

Yeah for some reason Spring is less competitve than fall usually ?
