Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. momtofore, i'm also taking art appreciation as my humanities elective in the summer. Did you take that? They are asking for 150$+ for the book..... but I bought mine for 19$..... however it's not the edition they're asking for.... but I could care less..... I have to save all the money for the nursing books and supplies! lol

OH BTW I got my Taber's Med Dic in the mail today :)

I had art appreciation years ago at BCC. I wonder if that would count as a fine arts class for Rowan....

momtofore, that's great! Rowan is so close to me.... but I'm thinking about transferring to NYC schools like Adelphi, College of New Rochelle, ect.... since my bf lives up there..... but we'll see. It would be good to see what Rowan's program is like.

Hello everyone! I am also an incoming nursing student for 2011 and have enjoyed reading your posts! I look forward to getting to know you all and best of luck. LOL. You guys are so funny! Thanks for all the info . . .I can't wait until I can send mssg. My appt. for regestration is the last one . .27th at 4pm . . . I saw the sched. that everyone wanted, I'm sure it will work out! I'm really all over the place with my sched. this first yr I will have to sched time for me to sleep! I had a A in science courses and 85 on Hesi that I took 2 yrs ago when I first applied . . . .last time around I had a B in my science course so I know that "A" made all the differ. FYI I heard there was a total of 1200 applicants and they accepted around 120!

Wow, where did you hear that there were 1200 applicants? That's crazy! I wonder what the stats are like for the class. Now I feel even more grateful to have been accepted.

Yea, i cldnt believe it . . .but a few yrs ago it was 900 . . so it figures . . .gain in popularity! U shld feel very proud! Class of 2013 will be the "Cream of the Crop"
