Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

Oh and I just found out that I can be part time in the fall! Sweeeeeeeeeet :)

But, that means i have to take my last 2 pre reqs in summer 1.... iyyaya.... but I'm happy :) I'm pretty sure q health insurance plan now allows part time and still be covered under your parent's insurance .

Hey guys! I just wanted to share some cool information I found through the web. I found a whole bunch of Nursing skills sheets.... which are probably in the books we have to get (whenever they let us know), but it might be nice to study earlier..... if you want them PM me with your email address and I'd be more than happy to send them. They're in PDF format

Some skills include temperature, pulse, venipuncture, capillary blood draw, sponge bath, casts, throat culture, nasopharyngeal swab, dressing change, IV, nasogastric tube, ect.

I would love them, but I'm a few posts short of being able to PM.

That's great news, dannipoint! I'm hanging on to Nutrition to take online if there is a semester I need to go FT to be able to take a deferred loan. I figure that plus a one-credit whatever should not be too difficult. It will be either my 3rd or 4th semester.

Off to school for a meeting, back home to make dinner, then I can shower and do my psych test! Yippee!

Momtofore, you could take drug calculations for nurses it's 1 credit and very useful. It's online. I took that and nutrition online this semester. Very easy. I'm not sure what the status of my fin aid will be this semester.... they will probably figure it out once I'm enrolled in the nursing courses.... so I'll probably know after the 26th. I'm psyched!

Send q one who was interested a PM. I actually have a lot of nursing references on my computer...... tons! I'll get around to posting the ones I have soon..... but I'll start with the skills sheets for now.
