Gloucester County College Nursing Fall 2011 Hopefuls?

Published

Hi everyone!

Thought I could start this thread for anyone that is applying to the GCC Nursing Program this spring? I'm just getting my portfolio organized and prepared. I have to take the HESI one more time on Feb 24th and attend an info session on Feb 28th and I'm all set. I'm so nervous! But, I'm going to try to be optimistic. I look forward to hearing from you guys :) Take Care~

It was neg. LOL No suprise!! But still nice to see... :D

Lol, that's what I said, too.

My appt is on April 26th at 1015. I was there at 9 am last Monday and that's what I got! I believe it is with the one health advisor (can't use names in the open here...something dannipoint and I are working on, haha). I don't think there were any choices. I think someone else here had 915, but I don't know how that's possible with just one advisor?

I just called to confirm and I have an appointment at 9:15 with her. So maybe there is more then one. Who knows! lol I will be there at 8:30 anyway. :) Any idea what days you are going for??

I agree! It's nice to have people that care about their grades too! :)

My appt is scheduled for the 26th at 10:45am. I think the appointment is with the advisor _____ (almost forgot I can't post it .... thanks for the heads up momtofore lol)

I'm also curious as to how many people applied.... i know 100 were accepted. They will most likely tell us at orientation probably. I'm so excited!!!! It's nice to know someone else, by what momtofore has told me you seem like an excellent and organized student who actually cares about your academic success, which is nice to see :)

Oh and it's also nice to see that you Passed the drug test! haha. But was there any doubt? ;)

GOOD LUCK to you and hopefully we can be in the same classes in the fall!

NanaVana, don't post the days here PM either momtofore or me. We want to try to be together ;)

I just reread everything on here and the other 915 appt was on the 27th. Sorry, didn't mean to scare you! (would've made me double check, too).

NanaVana, I sent you a PM, but you can't send one until you have 15 posts and I'm not sure you can receive one yet. Can you check to see if you have it and let me know? If not, I'll send it after you reach 15!

Yes I got it!! It's ok though... we can talk about it on Monday. WOW 15!! I need to get posting! lol I have a full print out of all the information reguarding that PM I have been doing some research... haha I'll bring it with me next week.

Cool! At least I know I can PM you. In fact, I'm going to send you another one, k?

I had an unexpected job possibility present itself. It means working full-time in a doctor's office for a couple of months and while I don't really want to work full-time at all right now, it would be great experience. My problem is, I need to be off on the 26th of this month and the 13th of next month and would need off for other doctor visits another couple of times in during those couple of months. The pay would be decent but it's the experience that has me psyched! A friend would put me in touch with them to be interviewed...

I think I'm going to detail to the friend what my appt restrictions are and see what she thinks. Prayers!

Momtofore, are you going to be working in a doc office? That's great!! :) Congrats! Or good luck! whichever you need lol

I think it's good luck at this point. They need to be willing to let me go to these appts for all my medical for school and not want more than 6-8 weeks from me so I can study this summer!

Oh, I see. Well, in that case, I wish you the best of luck!! ;) I'm sure they won't mind, there's only a couple appointments right? Don't worry about it too much. Will you only be working full time in the summer or during the program too?

Hey guys! I found a book entitled "How To Survive Nursing School and Maybe Even Love it" 3rd edition and I think I'm going to purchase it.... it looks very helpful, but I really should be saving my $$$$ lol. It's so hard when these books are calling to me! lol :D
