i just spoke with the Lady from GCC Nursing Staff. They sent out the invites for TEAS on Thursday April 19th. for those who are 2nd time applying, we all will get letters (accepted, not accept) by May 10.

Good luck

hi jchw, do not get confused. Glendale that you talked about is in AZ, not CA. haha.

Glendale in CA goes by lottery. How did you do on TEAS Test? If you passed it already. Just wait to hear from them around mid May :D

I took the TEAS May 10th and passed with an 82%. I just have to wait and see if it is me they choose!

good luck Denisenike,

Im waiting to here from them too. This is my 2nd time applying. :D But I got into LATTC already. Alternate no 4 on LA harbor College. Still waiting to hear from LA SouthWest (10 mins driving).

Glendale is far from my house / 35 mins driving without trafic... But it's a good school tho. :D

Thats awesome good for you. LATTC is one of those secretive schools most don't know about!

This is my painful story about LAHC, my fav school.

Okie, I spoke to LAHC Director Assistant, she told me that I was put on alternate list ( number 4), which is kinda high on the list. And i thought I would get in. But she said that alternates seemed like .. do not have chance to get in at all. I was very shocked !!!

It's because LAHC sent out 64-65 accepted letters( they know that some will decline their seats for sure), and they class size will decrease to 49-50... It's good enough for Fall 2012 ?!?! They won't call alternates ??? I am like.. why you give me high hope. And I finally realize that the faculty knows that Im not able to get in at the beginning.

I hope to get picked for weekend program @ Glendale. However, if im lucky enough to have a seat (traditional program at Glendale). I think Ima go with LATTC or LASW. It's much closer to my house. I think, nursing is all about... you get what you put in. RN-BSN program is my goal right now. so, Im cool with LATTC or LASW. :D

I called and a lady told me that Glendale would send out letter the end of next week (20 for traditional program, 20 for weekend program). crossed fingers for all of us.

Thanks for the info on GCC. Will have fingers crossed till end of week! @ hnguyen, at least you already got into LATTC. Like you, I have already gotten an acceptance elsewhere (COC), but I really want GCC Night and Weekend! First choice! Good luck to you. And even if other schools give you the runaround, AT LEAST you already know you have one acceptance!

I hope i get accepted to GCC! I hate waiting! Anyone know of how many applicants they usually have? If anyone gets their letter post here and let us know.

I dont know but I miscalculated in my head how many apply. I took the TEAS May 10th and there were no more than 20 ppl there. I knew there were 4 TEAS schedules so I thought maybe 100 ppl. BUT then again there are plenty of people who did not need to take the TEAS. SIGH.

Glendale sent TEAS invites ... kinda late. Most of sschools sent Teas Invites earlier, and ppl took it already, or 2nd time applying... haha.

Spring 2012, there were about 430-440, around 250 eligible applicants. they picked 40. :D

I think Fall is usually more competitive, it means more applications.Nursing Program @ Glendale is Hard. My friends got in Spring 2011 said that there were 42 ppl, they dropped out alot. Now there are only 23 left .. wow !!:)

I got my acceptance letter today! Seriously, I waited so long for this blessing! For those who may not have been selected, please please do not give up! Do what you have to do to hold you over until next application period, because you deserve it!

Im alternate ... hahaha. But i wont be attending GLENDALE. since it's far from MY HOUSE. also, im accepted into LATTC. im living near Gardenia. So, if i get selected, i would like to give my seat to another student !!! And, Congratsssss to you !!! "D

i got accepted into the weekend/evening program! not exactly sure what that means. i'll have to do some research.
