Fingerprint Background Check
I don't understand why it matters if you were arrested. The application says convictions. If they want disclosure of arrests then why do they not say that? REPORTING PRIOR CONVICTIONS OR DISCIPLINE AGAINST LICENSES Applicants are required under law to report all misdemeanor and felony convictions. "Driving under the influence" convictions must be reported. Convict ions must be reported even if they have been adjudicated, dismissed or expunged or even if a court ordered diversion program has been completed under the Penal Code or under Article 5 of the Vehicle Code. Also, all disciplinary action against an applicant 's registered nurse, practical nurse, vocational nurse or other health care related license or certificate must be reported. Also any fine, infraction, or traffic violation over $1,000.00 must be reported.

Getting a California RN License with a Criminal History: Misdemeanor
Anyone know how to contact the BRN enforcement where someone actually replies? I also received a letter stating "Please note: Due to your disclosure of previous discipline or conviction, your application will require additional processing time." First of all i didn't click to disclose any convictions when I filled out my application because I don't have any convictions. I called the BRN and spoke to a lady and she said there is something on my record and transferred me to enforcement to leave a message. Do they respond and can actually talk to someone who tells you what it is? The only thing that may be on my record is In 2000 when I was 19 I was going to join the Navy reserves and I didn't follow through. 3 years later they brought me in to get discharged. There was no conviction or anything so I don't know why that even would show on my record. I also had this issue when I was going to be doing clinical at a county facility. They didn't approve me but asked for explanation and then approved me. Would be nice to know exactly what pops up on my record as I have been cleared to work at the VA 3 times now and I never have any issues there.

Everything Zar said! You have a good chance getting in as an alternate. Just finished first semester and it was great. Thanks for the heads up Zar about N20, that's what i've been hearing so i better prepare. Good luck to everyone.

Santa Monica Waitlist
I thought i left a reply but guess it didn't go through. Yes I got an alternate number and I will be going to orientation so hopefully i get in. I keep hearing that they usually go through quite a few alternates but who knows. I guess we just wait and see. Not sure if they would notify us before the orientation if our alternate number comes up or if we will just find out that day. Good luck!

Santa Monica Waitlist
I got notice that i'm an alternate also so would like to know the same question as you if anyone knows how many alternates usually get to go in the program. I know it all depends on many factors of people declining and all that.

Question about the application requirements. It states that you must submit HIGH SCHOOL transcripts.... (really) Does anyone know if your high school diploma is accepted for this requirement or do you really need to have high school transcripts? thanks!

Glendale Community college Fall 2012
I'm just on a wait list in San Diego and Santa Monica. I contacted someone from Santa Monica and she said that I would be contacted this Summer to take their test, so not sure how much longer it takes after that. In San Diego i'm not sure what number I am, I got put on the wait list right before they changed to multi-criteria. Anyhow, I wonder how many alternates Glendale picks, I know I'm just dreaming but what if they go through all of the alternates? I have a list of schools to apply to next round anyways, I'm just tired of waiting.

Glendale CC traditional Fall 2012
Hi,I have a question. I see that people are talking about time stamp, what exactly does that mean. I just applied to GCC nursing program and received a letter to take the teas v so i'm taking it on the 10th. What i am expecting is that i get placed into a lottery and if my name is drawn then it's for the upcoming fall semester. Am i wrong? Does this process only put you on a wait list? Any info would be great, thanks.
