okay...so i start my lpn program on aug 25 and i am so ready. i already got all my paperwork (shots, backround check etc) done. i did my class for my cpr, first aid certification on june 12 and still haven't recieved my certification and my school's deadline for all the paperwork is aug 1st. i called the company that i took the class from three weeks ago and a man assured me that my certificates were mailed out already and i should be recieving them in a couple days...well i still haven't. i called my school on friday explaining the situation to them and asked them if it would be alright if i had the company fax over a paper showing that i did indeed finish both classes and i am just waiting on my certificates and the admissions office said that was fine. i called the company back and asked them to fax over the letter and they agreed. ..well i called my school this morning and they haven't recieved the fax!!!! i called the company again and they swear they faxed it, but say that they will fax it again for the second time since my school haven't recieved it. that was at 11:00 this morning. i called my school at around 2 and they told me a fax never came through, so i called the company back and the man who i have been talking to this whole time had supposidly "went home early" so i have to call back tomorrow. i am stressing this because i am the type of person that likes to get things done on time. i have already paid half of my tuition and i don't want anything messing up my chances of going to school.sorry guys, i just had to vent. sigh..okay i feel a little better.

I am sorry that you are having such a tough time getting them to work with you and the school or either someone is having fax problems. Is is possible for you to go to the company and get the papers yourself to take to the school? I hope that everything works out for you. :wink2:

I would go to the school and the paperwork and bring it to your school personally.....I know that this is important to you and if this is keeping you from getting into school you will be devestated. I hope that everything goes well......let us know......

yes, i was going to say go over and get copies of these certificates and hand carry them to the school even if they have to be placed in a sealed envelope with the company's seal over the flap.
something similar happened to me when i was trying to get admitted to a university. the admissions department kept saying that they were not receiving the transcript from my community college where i did all my general education credits and had earned an aa degree. i had paid for and had this transcript sent to the university twice. finally, in a panic and with two days to go before applications for admission closed i had my mother get a personally hand carried transcript (i lived 2000 miles away) and send it to me by fedex one day air. i hand carried the sealed transcript to the university admissions office where they opened it in front of me, and you know what? they had indeed received the other two transcripts! at the very top of these transcripts it happened to list the high school i graduated from. the nincompoops in the admissions office didn't read any further. they assumed these were all high school transcripts!. my application was reviewed, my transfer credits evaluated within a day and i was admitted. talk about anger and anxiety.

I am so sorry you are going through this. I agree if at all possible go get them yourself and hand deliver. My school recommend 2 places for us to go to avoid confusions like that and if you went through someone else there was no way the school could track it. The 2 companies have an agrrement with the school and once we complete the class our names are emailed to the directors and we get our cards that exact day we take the class. I really hope everything works out for you!!! ((HUGS))
