Stop smoking before school starts?
Thank you all for the support for all of us trying to quit. It really helps to hear words of encouragement.

Stop smoking before school starts?
I wish that I could stomach taking Chantix again. It worked great the first time, never even knew I was taking it. I wish I never would have started back after 2 years. I have tried taking it twice this summer and by the time the 3rd day roles around I am just SO sick that I cannot stand it. I tried Wellbutrin but it did nothing. I think chantix is a great medication though for those who can tolerate it.

Counting Down The Days.........
I also start Aug 18th and I am also scared and excited at the same time. I am so excited to finally start working on my dream but scared that I may not succeed. Dealing with the stress of kids, husband and school is going to take a lot. Also, I am VERY nervous about clinicals and labs but at the same time I feel like most of the class is going to be in the same boat as me. I wish you all the best of luck and I think Nat had a great idea about posting our classes go.

Giving me the run around!!!!!
I am sorry that you are having such a tough time getting them to work with you and the school or either someone is having fax problems. Is is possible for you to go to the company and get the papers yourself to take to the school? I hope that everything works out for you. :wink2:

Stop smoking before school starts?
I am also in the same shoes. I start school in August and we are not allowed to smoke during clinicals. I want to quit before school starts but so far have not had much success. I tried Chantix and quit for 2 years before starting back during a very stressful time. Now whenever I try to take Chantix it makes me sick and VERY moody. I have tried quiting 2/3 times this summer and after about the 3rd day I always start back. But I am not giving up and I am determined that one way or another I will succeed. I wish you be best of luck quitting and if you ever need someone to talk to while trying feel free to PM me.

Accepted into LPN program
I was accepted into the LPN program at our local CC. I am SO excited about it, but I am scared to death. I graduate with my AA degree next week and took all of my pre-req for ADN, but didn't get in. I know that its an extremely hard program to get in and understand that. But now I am just scared that maybe I won't be able to pass the LPN program. I am married with 2 kids (6/8) my husband works several hours from home and isn't home much to help out. My parent live nearby, and they are willing to help to some extent. I know that I am probably just stressing over nothing, but I want to go into this program will prepared. I want to have a plan A, B, and C when it comes to my kids. But at the same time, I don't want them to feel like their mom has just forgotten them for school. Has anyone else had pre-program anxiety?
