  1. Thank you, Daytonite. In the past, I've quit two times. Each time for one year. Both times were cold turkey. I was depressed each time and my personality became dry and dull. I'm hoping this time, the Chantix and Wellbutrin will help.
  2. Congratulations readytoroll and Thank you for your support.
  3. Thank you so much for your support, bmackd2.
  4. I start the 25th too. I'm scared, nervous, and nauseous! My Mother keeps calling me asking for medical advice. Mom, I haven't started school yet! I'm so glad we have this site so we can support each other. Everyone is so nice here.:loveya:
  5. Don't quit beeenieweeenie. You obviously care about your patients and the patients need caring observant nurses like you.
  6. Thanks for the support, EMTBrooks. Are you going to try Chantix again? I have faith that we will both quit. We are both beginning a new journey in our lives and that will help us to conquer the smoking habit.
  7. Thank you beeenieweeenie. Congratulations to you for quitting.
  8. Thank you, Daytonite. I have noticed that you are very informative and thorough with your replies. You are very helpful and seem like a very caring person. I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate the hard work you put into your posts. I will start my LVN program on the 25th, and I look forward to reading more of your wisdom in the future. Thanks again.
  9. Thank you 2winniethepooh and Congratulations. I was concerned that some people were reporting memory loss with the Chantix. Don't need that if I'm about to start LVN program.
  10. Thank you bmackd2. I may just skip the Wellbutrin and do the Chantix. I was going to take them together. Congratulations to you and your husband.
  11. Congratulations 2winniethepooh for quitting smoking. I would also like to know what side effects people experienced with Chantix and the Wellbutrin. Thank you CracklinRose for asking.
  12. I did not know that. Thank you very much, tothepointe, that is another big incentive to quit.
  13. This kind of accusation from a colleague is what scares me about becoming a nurse. As a gay man, I'm already nervous enough about having to do personal care on a female when I start my clinicals. I've never even considered that a patient or colleague might construe a male nurse performing a professional nursing skill as "Rape". I start my LVN program in August, and now I'm officially a nervous wreck.
  14. Congratulations bmackd2 on going cold turkey!
