I have to write a care plan on the main character in the movie Girl, Interrupted (crazy, right?)
According to the film she was diagnosed with depression and attempted suicide. I am drawing a blank trying to come up with a NANDA approved nursing diagnosis. I thought about using deficient knowledge of causes, signs, symptoms, and treatment r/t depression. But I know that safety should be priority to this diagnosis...I would appreciate any suggestions.
I thought she was dx with a borderline personality disorder? Or Sociopath or something like that? I haven't seen it in a couple years but I remember in the one scene where they break into the Dr's office she reads her file and it said something about her impulsive behavior, inability to maintain personal relationships, etc.
Doesn't she have Borderline Personality disorder?...I had to do the same thing, but dang if I remember anything about it. Probably risk for suicide or something pretty generic like that...
