I don't know how fast you need it, but you might look here. I've had items shipped pretty quickly from them:
If you wanted a pocket book, there is a series called "made incredibly easy"
Amazon or the bookstores sell them, and you can get pocket assessment guides, guide to EKG interpretation(rhythm strips of the heart), or I think a few others. I love them, they are great guides.
So its EKG/ECG made incredibly easy, assessment made incredibly easy, etc.
I do beleive they are 20$ each.
And yes, she will want something nursing related! At least, I did and so did everyone I know!
My favorite gift I ever got was a starbucks travel coffee cup with a 25.00 gift cert tucked inside!!!
I use the cup everyday.
After graduation I bought my self a small silver RN charm off ebay. It cost less than 5.00 even with shipping. I wear it everyday unless I am going out somewhere "fancy" and want to wear my gold jewelry.
My Mom bought me a nice stethoscope. But if anyone asks me what I want...I am saying money. Cause I haven't been working while in school, so between my financial aid running out and my first paycheck...I'm going to be very broke. I would talk to her and find out what her burdens are going to be and get something that will take the stress off. OH, maybe a gift certificate to a spa or something.

I have been invited to a co-worker's nursing graduation ceremony. I would like to get her a small gift, such as a book. Do you have any ideas, such as a reference you find helpful in your first year of nursing? Or, as a new grad, do you want something not nursing related? Thanks for the help!
